Wow - what a great insight into how Dean's mind worked even at that age.  It's all about protecting Sam at any cost and knowing that John will make it all okay.  That final 'stand down' and his immediate relief is just perfect.  Great story and an original approach.

Aw Dean.... A very sad and scary look inside his head - all alone and trying to stray sstrong while he grows steadily more desperate...

Cleverly written, I liked the short sharp sections and the young kid voice was authentic, as was the way he refused to acknowledge his growing fear.
