Loved getting inside Sam's head. And your Lucifer is chilling, exactly the torment Sam would fear the most...lies the devil told me.
I understand Sam 'hearing' that Dean didn't want him around, didn't want to be his brother any more. Personally, I think Sam was devastated but also understood where Dean was coming from. For me, I think his greatest fear was that Dean was giving up, on him and on the fight. That to Sam is terrifying.
I also see Sam fighting more, you showed his despair really well, and I fully understand his despair, but he is also a fighter. At times like this, his anger strikes hard, at Lucifer and at himself.
The last line was perfect. One last chilling thought that Lucy might actually be in control and relentless, destined to get what he wanted, Sam as his vessel.
I really enjoyed this. - B.J.
Author's Response: Sam is strong, definitely. I let him freak out a little more here than I normally do because I remember how extremely freaked out he always gets around Lucifer. Sam practically reeks of fear and futility. Wanted to explore that a little.
But you know, then I decided that I wasn't quite done with it. So I'm going to do at least one chapter more, him dealing with this "thing" trying to get inside him. Should have it up in a few days.
