I liked your word choice throughout this one shot. You offered a really thoughtful perspective of a hunter's life through Dean's eyes.  I liked how you told this story using Dean's perspective and then Sam's.  I liked your take on how Dean and Sam dealt with Madison's death.  This was a very well written one shot.  It was definitely worth the wait.

Author's Response:

Thanks! I don't know about worth the wait, but at least I got 'er done! I always find it fascinating to examine their lives through the other's eyes.  Dean reflecting on Sam and Sam reflecting on Dean.  And then of course, digging through their thoughts that they don't readily verbalize.

They are such intriguing men and to see them hurting and then how they deal with it, how they continue on in a job so dangerous and soul-shattering, well, it's why we love them so, right?

Thanks for the lovely review and sorry I spaced out and failed to respond in a timely manner. Take care, B.J.

This is a wonderful story!  Heart was such an emotional episode.  You really captured the heartbreak that Sam was going through.  I love how you wrote Dean as the caring big brother who just wants to take all of Sam's pain away.

Author's Response: Thanks, Terry! I always appreciate you taking the time to review.  And I'm super happy to hear I got Sam right. Heart was so emotional...and we needed more heartbreak from the boys before they moved on. I love protective big brother Dean, one of my fav flavors. And who doesn't want to take away these guys' pain?  I'm just glad to know they are there for each other.  Take care, B.J.
