Ooh, the Deodand's gunna get it now. Unless it pulls a fast one and gets to Dean before Bobby's recorded voice can complete the recitation of the spell.... And poor addled Sammy finally realised Dean's hand is bleeding like a stuck pig - think both of them need to get checked out once they banish the Deodand. Whew, they made it to the top of the stairs....just in time for the Deodand to attack. Poor Sammy - his head must feel like it's about to explode! No wonder the poor kid threw up. But at least Bobby's on the case now, and they know what it is and how to banish it. Let's just hope that Dean can record it in time before the thing comes back to have another go at the wounded hunters. And then Dean's got to work out how to get Sam back down the stairs without them both taking a tumble - lol. Jules

Wobbly, concussed, bleeding....but at least they're together. Hope the ghost-thing doesn't reappear while they're still on the staircase - that could get messy. Loved Dean's indecision as to which way to go, up or down. Down would have been practical, but just thinking about Sam taking another header off the stairs makes my own head ache in sympathy. At least if Sam falls on the upward journey, it won't cause as much damage. And now Dean's got concussed Sam to worry about as well as the ghost that's not a ghost. Yep, they definitely should have done more research. Great update, hun. Jules

So, puppy eyes worked, eh? Thank you for my update - lol. And yep, Sam's right - they should have done more research. By the red eyes and the fact that rocksalt only made it mad, this is no ordinary ghost. Oh ouch!!! Dean's hand being speared repeatedly by a rusty screwdriver wasn't a mental picture I wanted at lunchtime - lol. Man, that's gunna hurt when he wakes up. And you threw Sammy down the stairs! At least I know how he ended up a crumpled heap at the bottom now. Not good, both boys down for the count and an unidentified monster on the loose....*chews nails*.... Jules

Oh, so not good - they're going into the hunt tired, cranky with each other and unprepared. That's just asking for trouble. Dean was so gung-ho in the first few months after John's death. He just tackled everything head-on, and damn the torpedoes, as it were, with poor Sam trying to keep up with the damage control. This isn't going to end well... Dean's going to regret not taking the time to properly prepare, methinks.... Jules

Oh, dear - talk about hitting the ground running - or in Sam's case just hitting the floor.....ouch, that must have hurt! And Dean, getting lost?? Oh my gosh, that's going to be fuel for a little teasing later on, if Sam doesn't take advantage of it immediately. And if Sam remembers once his concussion wears off. And if he manages to find Dean before whatever it was that threw him down the stairs reappears and tosses him to the floor again. Great start, hun! the begging scared the livingn crap out of me if that is even possible and i love the acknowledgemnet that for the first time dean admitts to being lost sam should place it in his book. :)
