Love this story and anxiously awaiting the next chapter.

Author's Response: Apologies!  I'm almost done with the next chapter, but being a perfectionist and not having the time to hone it like I wish, it just seems like I am never satisfied enough to post.  Life's been complicated of late, and I honestly can't believe how long it has taken to get that next chapter up.  Hopefully it will be there soon.  Thanks for the note, B.J.

Enjoyed your views on the conversation btw Dean and Death.   Just found this site and love reading all the different stories.  Trying to read all the "completed" ones first because waiting for the next chapter to be posted is a killer LOL.   Thanks for the story and I will be checking back for the next installment.

Author's Response:

Oh, if you just found us you have a bunch of great stories to read!  Yes, it can be annoying when reading to find that a story isn't complete.  I'm fine-tuning the next chapter so hopefully it won't be long.

I do love Death and I'm anxious to see if Show brings him back.  I simply love his interactions with Dean, and Show might possibly have found the one character they can't kill off! LOL

Thanks for reading and the lovely review.  It certainly is appreciated.  Take care, B.J.

This is a lovely chapter. You have captured Dean's barely contained terror in Death's presence so well but kept the rage he feels at Death's audacity at the same time. I too love Death. He is complicated and strangely charismatic. I really enjoyed your exploration of him being like Dean once - that his early 'kills' hurt him as they hurt Dean. It makes his coolness now so much more menacing.

Looking forward to the next chapter

bev xx

Author's Response:

Hey, Bev! Yes, you said it, Death is charismatic, along with terrifying and imposing.  And yet as frightened as Dean is, and who wouldn't be?  He still maintains his cool and spars with Death.

I love that he first took on Death to save the world and now he's come back to save his brother.  Only Dean would be so audacious as to go toe-to-toe with Death, and yet I believe that's why Death respects him.

Glad you liked the bit about Death being like Dean once.  I found it so fascinating when he just casually told Dean that he would reap God at one point.  Can you imagine?  So where did this creature come from?  What drives him?  What would it feel like to be Death and be basically all lone...that is unless he and God get together to play bridge or something.

Take care, B.J.

Just stopped by to say hi and read your story again.

I'm looking foreward to the next chapter.

I love the banner.

Until next time, take care.

Author's Response:

Hey, Lori!  Always good to hear from you.  Yes, doesn't Dream make the most gorgeous banners?  This one in particular just perfectly captures everything I wanted to best display the story.  I particularly love the blue weaved though out.

Take care, we'll talk soon! - B.J.

You did an excellent job showing how uncomfortable and frightened Dean is in the presence of Death.  I loved your dialogue between Dean and Death.  I also liked that you gave the reader Death's perspective on his job.  Your word choice throughout this chapter was phenomenal.  I cannot wait to read the subsequent chapters to this well written story.

Author's Response:

Thanks! I love the tension between Dean and Death, that both are strong-willed and powerful and yet, as courageous as Dean is, he knows he is still facing down against death.  I love how that puts him in a precarious situation and then to watch him move past his trepidation and just 'be Dean', fearless and determined.

Take care, B.J.
