Perfect! You really captured Sam's need to feel what he'd done and take responsibility. Sam has always done that, the fear of the wall coming down couldn't stop his need to know and atone for what he did as RoboSam. I love protective Dean and he was out in full force, willing the outcome to his wants, assuring Sam that everything would be all right. I loved the combination of snark and care, how he pushed Cas to make it all right or at least tell Sam that it would be okay. The best part was the end where Sam remembers Dean comforting him in the past and knowing that they got through that, together they can get through this. It really does come down to them always looking out for what the other needs. It is wonderful to see the boys back together and your story showed us that love and caring. Great job, B.J.
Author's Response: Thanks B.J. I am so glad Sam and Dean are back together and showing us the care they have for each other. I still fear Sam is in for a hard road but I really believe they can get through it together.

Great tag Sonya, really believable, you got both boys perfectly there. Dean desperately telling Sam that Cas had fixed him, though he knew it was just a patch-up job - you could feel his fear for his little brother should that wall come down completely. And poor Sam, having seen some of the memories and terrified of what else he has done, worrying that he has done worse things. Just loved the ending, how Sam clung to Dean, begging him not to let go; Dean being what is grounding him and keeping what is behind that wall breaking through and destroying him. Sarah
Author's Response: Thanks Sarah. You didn't have to review over here too since you'd already done so on FF.net but I appreciate it. :) Really glad you liked the story.

Dean's love..pushing Hell back..patching the cracks. Such a great visual in this one. Sam remembering when Dean was there for him in the past..and knowing Dean will be there now. I love this story Sonya. Great to see Cas in this one. Even though it was brief I could read through your words his compassion and care for both boys. I'm glad you decided to put him in. Loved this ending..the image of Dean not letting to and Sam clinging to him was a perfect ending..not just for your story but for me since yours was the last one I read. Talk to you soon. Take care, Jane
Author's Response: Thanks Jane. Yes, I think Cas cares greatly for both boys and it makes me so happy because he gave Sam such a hard time after the apocalypse started. It took Cas a little while to warm up to Sam but I love how much he has worried about him this season. I think as long as Dean doesn't give up on Sam they will make it through this but it's going to be hard. Sam is a thinker and he's gonna keep scratching that wall.

Very nicely done girl! I love the thought of Cas coming to the rescue, and he does have a bit of a bark to him now huh? Lol Death is a shoddy carpenter, definitely not one I'd want to call to build me a wall. I think you hit the nail on the head, I think they're going to torture Sam for the rest of the season. :) Fantastic submission! -Kris
Author's Response: Thanks Kris! Yeah, I don't think Death will be getting any invites to help on Extreme Home Makeover, do you? :)

Aww, Sammy..... I just knew he'd scratch - it was inevitable that his curiosity and conscience would get the better of him. He was right when he said that now he had a soul, it wouldn't let him just walk away from things. Dean's fear and desperation came through really clearly here, in his insistence that Cass could 'fix' Sam and that the patches in the wall would hold, or could be repaired if they let go again. And it was heartbreaking for both of them when Dean admitted he wasn't sure if he'd done the right thing. His brother is once more a ticking bomb, only this time it was Dean who lit the fuse. Having said that, he could no more have left Sam's soul down in that cage than I could Chris', if it was us. He did the only thing he could, despite the risks. Could feel his anger and frustration too, when he cut Cass off mid-I-told-you-so. Loved the imagery at the end, with Sam hanging on so tightly to the brother who has always managed to beat back the darkness for him. Oh, and the puking? No wonder he upchucked - what a killer headache he must have had after that little episode, and then to have Cass digging around inside his head. Poor Sammy.... Great job, hun. Jules
Author's Response: No, there is definitely no way Dean would have left Sam in hell but he's doubting himself because of how his brother is suffering now. He's wondering if maybe there might have been another way to do this instead of just shoving Sam's fractured soul back inside of him (oh wait, maybe that's just me wondering because I've given this whole soul thing way too much thought). I take if from the question mark after puking, you heard that was one of the problems my critic on FF.net had with my story. I have decided I'm going to ignore her since she never has anything good to say because when I responded to her review she then sent me an even longer private message and as much as it killed me, I ignored it. Thanks Jules. :)

Oh wow, so intense. Sam coming back to awareness, Cas being sarcastic and almost distraught and Dean just worried beyond words, it brought tears to my eyes. I loved the conversation between the brothers and how Sam held on to Dean. Absolutely wonderful story. Hugs, Vonnie
Author's Response: Thanks Vonnie. I think Dean is probably going to be worried some more before it's all over. I think Sam's gonna keep picking at that wall.

Very good, an excellent follow on to Unforgiven, and if anything will hold Sam together it will be Dean. I just hope Cas really can fix him next time. Nice one. Jacq
Author's Response: Thanks so much Jacq. I really do like to believe Dean will be what holds Sam together, regardless of where the show goes with it.
