Too bad you couldn't have worked it so Dean got to keep Lisa, Ben and his little girl Samantha. This was a good story. I just think I think he would have been torn about loosing his family. He loved Lisa, Ben and girl Sam. They were a part of him. I don't think he would have given them up so easily. Just my thoughts on a good story.

I agree with you that Dean would have been torn, I just think that at this time in his life he was feeling so guilty over first loosing Sam to hell and then being unable to bring his soul back and making this wish that he would have given anything for having his brother back. There was no way that he would have ever enjoyed this alternate life without Sam and not having the choice to have both, there was was no question who he was going to choose. So sorry I'm so late with this, my life is all work these days. LOVED this story, it's something I wanted to read about for a long time and this here had all I hoped for! And what a wonderful end - "Not matter how desperate he had been at the time, he had been wrong to wish for a different life. If he could take it back, he would. Lisa, his children, his parents, they all didn't matter without Sammy." Yes, they are truly "brothers and so much more", they are home to each others' heart. Wonderful!

Yea! Sammy is back. I really enjoyed this story. I loved how Dean got his perfect life only to realize that he missed his baby brother. I really liked how he got Sam with his soul back at the end.

Geez, John was a b**tard with a capital B in that last flashback. No wonder Dean's pretty content in his new life with a much changed John. The flashbacks seem to be becoming more frequent though - is that the old life ripping through the fabric of the new one? And will Dean indeed lose his mind, switching between the two? Jules

Interesting that Dean remembers both lives, his real one, and this fantasy apple-pie one....well, I'm hoping it's a fantasy. Wonder who or what heard that plea in his moment of desperation outside Bobby's panic room? And what is going to become of it? Jules
