Sam dreaming that Dean was gone...gah. But thank goodness it was a dream. And I enjoyed the end of this chapter. Jay going with their father, and John being his stubborn self. I re-read these last few chapter you put up here and was sucked in like I was before. The battle that Dean has to undergo is just so tremendous and I think this chapter was one of my favorites from the whole story. :)

Author's Response: Up until recently, I've always seen Sam as an eternal optimist who would never give up on Dean. I still don't think he'd ever give up on Dean, but he seems to give up on himself - poor Sammy-bear (in the show). I should have the next chapter up soon, I'm gonna read through it, repost it at ff.net and then post it here. So, it shouldn't be long. Only two more chapters!

I am going crazy!! I want to know how this all ends! I love the family bonding going on, makes the Winchesters seem a bit more human. Especially John, it's nice to see him acting like a father to his boys.
Author's Response: Yeah, I have a soft spot for John, especially after IMTOD. I really wanted him to play a part if for no other reason than because Dean loved his daddy *sniff*. Don't go crazy now, I've only got two more chapters to post! :) Thanks for the review...I sure hope you like the ending.

OMG!!! What an ending! Can't say that I had expected it either. I love that John finally gets to come to Dean's aid. Love the light of Dean fighting Dean - is it just me, or is this scene supposed to make me think of the light sabres in Star Wars? Warrior Dean and the best symbolic swords ever. AND I think I'm the first to get a review in on this chap?hehehe More please!
Author's Response: Actually, I think at one point, the similarity with the light sabers to occur to me, lol. One, green/blue, the other red. Maybe I was thinking of that subconsciously. Yep, I think you first :) I'm glad you liked this because it was tough to write. I wanted to make sure John played a part, but I didn't know how to get him there. Thanks for leaving me your thoughts, I loved reading them.

Author's Response: Yeah, I see Sam as a red-faced, wiggly little guy, too. It's a cute picture thinking of Dean holding Sam as a child. It was precious when my son held his baby sister. He was getting ready to turn four at the time and so the age differences are the nearly the same. Thanks for the reading and reviewing. I felt a little goofy about this chapter and I couldn't seem to fix it, soooo...I appreciate the vote of confidence. I do love the boys!

This was soooo worth waiting for. Please don't be in a rush to get to the end. Great chapter! I'm really looking forward to the Native American healing rituals to come. As always, you do a great job capturing Sam and Dean. I also love how detailed you are being - that's the best part of fanfic! We get so much more than what can be put in an episode.
Author's Response: Yeah, that's what I love about fan fic, too. I've always been the type that thought the book was better than the movie...you just get more. I like being able to read the character's thoughts and motivations. Plus, we get to dwell on the angst if that's what you're into, lol. I'm trying not to rush, but I've had this one finished for a while and I'm already working on a new story...nearly done with the first chapter...and I'm anxious to start posting it. All I'm really doing as I repost this here is going over each chapter, trying to make it better than it was and correct mistakes I missed the first time through. I want the final version posted here to be the best it can be without doing a complete re-write, which I don't have time for. Anyway, thanks for the review...I need the encouragement because as I went back over this, I wondered if it was worthy of being posted here. Glad you enjoyed it!

Author's Response: No, no, not given up...just been so busy and tired at night. It takes quite a while to go through each chapter making corrections and deleting stuff I now feel is unneeded. LOTS of stuff from this last chapter. I'm also reposting it at that "other" place as I go. But, I LOVE that icon you've posted there. That's definitely a motivator, lol. Guh, he's just so, SO fine in every possible way! He makes me feel like a giddy school girl all over again...

Author's Response: First off, let me assure you that it will be finished. I've already got it posted elsewhere in its entirety, but I'm cleaning it up and reposting it here. It's just taking some time. We had a massive ice storm and I've been w/o electricity for a week and I'm just now getting back to things, lol.
