Hope because my laptop is on the fritz and the letters e,d,c are not working. so i'm literally hacking away using the on-screen keyboard, 1 letter at a time. so pen and paper have become my friends again. But i am hacking away to finish next chapter!

Man, oh man..Dean is in really bad shape and I believe he is near the end of how much he can take. I'm glad that Sam has at least figured somethings out, but he really needs to get to Dean. I hope John does show his face (but it is doubtful). Marie is one nut job for sure. I was rather sad at Sam remembering the amulet because years later said amulet is who knows where. I can't wait to read the next chapter.
Author's Response: This fic is a series of Whump!Dean and after this dean will need a whole heap of recovery time. As for John, I'm gonna tell you now, sorry but no he's not gonna come to the boys rescue. And as for the amulet... Where the heck is that thing? No Impala, no amulet. Is this Supernatural without no staples? I'm really hoping we'll see both again. Thanks for reviewing despite the looooooong delay. :)

I agree with Sam, if John didn't break his silence and come to the boys when Dean was at death's door, I don't imagine him coming this time either unless actually seeing Dean being tortured would do it along with the message Sam received. Poor, poor Dean, I don't know how much more he can handle. Yikes, water torture! I can't wait to read the next chapter.
Author's Response: Thanks for taking the time out to review. Know I've been slow in updating this story and I'm sorry. John kinda just disappeared in Season 1 leaving the boys to clean up a few of his poorer choices and it just burned me when I saw both Sam and Dean call him and he refused to answer. The water torture is just the beginning so look out for more torture for poor Dean (grins evilly). Again thanks for reviewing!

Author's Response: This girl is seriously bent on revenge! it's an unwavering push for her kinda like John was about the demon and so there are sum parallels about how far is too far.... Don't think you asked me about that lol! The line spacing thing is not my doing. Hope i can get it fixed!

Hmmm....interesting that she chose Dean as the bait. Wonder why? She seemed to want Dean over Sam. Poor Dean, he seems like he may be in a bad way. Wonder what kind of revenge the woman is planning against John. I imagine if John didn't come when Dean was dying, I doubt he'll come because he's been kidnapped. Poor Sammy, he's gonna freak when he comes to. Curious about the weird format? Was that on purpose? Looking forward to the next chapter.

Thanks for the suggestion about the longer chapters but these two were the starters, the other chapters aren't like that but i'll let you decide!

Ahhh..I miss season 1 Dean and Sam! Dean seems rather in bad shape from previous hunts. I wonder if the near death thing was his electrocution from trying to kill the Rawhead? Anyhow, I'm sure this hunt has something to do with his disappearance in ch.1. I have a feeling Dean is going to need more than 4 weeks rest! Looking forward to the next chapter.
Author's Response: Actually yes! Ding, ding ding! The near death experience was the electrocution and I think Sam really showed us in that episode how committed he was to Dean despite their differences. Dean is always getting hurt on the hunt because well... he's Dean! he cares so much about others especially Sammy that he'll throw himself in front a bullet. Self-preservation out the window! it's one of the things I both love and loathe about him. Anyway thanks for reading!

Well now, you definitely have me hooked! I love the idea that Sam is the determined one to get his brother back and that he is the one that won't let anyone hurt his brother and live to tell! Biting my nails until the next post. Oh, which season is this?
Author's Response: I'm glad you like it! I think that Sammy can be just as protective a brother as Dean and in this story I'm going to explore all the angst as well as a darkness up til then we hadn't seen in him. This is actually set in season 1 so look out for some interesting happenings there. Thanks for the review and the stars!
