Awhhh...you made me cry at the end. I am sure Dean does love Lisa and Ben but knows he cannot be with them. It is just so sad. The fight between Sam and Dean had me as worried and scared as Ben! Thanks for the great story, I really enjoyed it!

Gads, I imagine Dean is really mad at Sam. He literally through Ben to the wolves here. I'm not surprised that Grandpa showed up, he just unnerves me! I wonder if he is the one to have used Ben? Looking forward to the next chapter. Good thing they were able to catch the siren, I hope.

I'm really enjoying your story. Love the hurt Dean stuff of course. I get a feeling that Sam and Ben are kinda pulling Dean in two different directions. Seems like Sam kinda resents Ben. Any how, I'm kinda confused though, didn't they deal with a Siren in Season 4 (remember all that angst that caused, to me it really was the breaking point between the two brothers). Looking forward to reading the next chapter.
Author's Response: You're right they did a siren episode in season 4 but I forgot about it and viewed the "siren" as more of a incubus than a siren. I guess in my head, no that I know my mistake, I'll justify it by saying that this is the alpha siren - kinda what the writers are doing this season in order to change things up. Ben and Sam are pulling Dean in different directions. I was hoping for a glimpse of that this season, not quite jealousy but maybe a little competition between the two as they figure out thier place in Dean's life. Author's Response: I enjoy writing their arguments way too much. As for Sam's soul, there has to be something more going on there, I just can't believe Crowley is the be all and end all of big bads this season. I'll consider a sequel but don't count on it. I really love what you're doing with this story! Love the Dean/Ben interaction, and how much Dean really, really wanted to be part of that family. Maybe when the show ends, he and Lisa can give it one more try, this time without Sam's ghost between them? Nancy

Author's Response: I wonder, occasionally, if it's wrong that I really enjoy writing this Sam so much. Probably but I'll think about the psychological implications at a later date. I wasn't sure if anyone would see the jealousy between Sam and Ben - I like to think of it more as possessiveness - so I'm happy that you saw it. I think that Sam is really 70% ID, 30% Ego and his Super-ego is shut off. So when he sees the interaction between Dean and Ben he thinks, "no, my toy, not yours" and reacts as such. Only he's an adult so he isn't as obvious about it. These are things I wish they'd have given us in the show. There could have been some fantastic character stories if they'd kept Lisa and Ben around but they chose not to. I understand why but I miss what could have been. Anyway, thank you so much. Pretty awesome story so far! I love that it is season 6 based, soulless Sam is absolutely hilarious and frustrating at the same time. It makes for an intersting story now that Dean is the emo one and Sam is the hardcase.
Author's Response: I have never been a big fan of Sam. He's a difficult characer to write or relate to for me. But this season I'm loving him. I like the interaction between the brothers and what I imagine the interaction would be if Sam and Ben were ever able to spend any time together. Thank you for reading and reviewing! Kim

I will confess that you won't know who the mystery hunter is because the possibilities are numerous in my mind. That mystery won't be resolved by the end of the story (but a possible hint exists, possible because it was a definite hint until I thought - but it could be this character or this character).
