That would have been a very good ending, so sad yet so right. I reckon I could have coped with that as a final moment.

Nice one.

Jacq

Author's Response:

While season 6 does have it's good moments, sometimes I wish the show had ended at season 5.

Thank you very much for your review. I'm glad you liked it.

A great, normal family event. Too bad they didn't have more of those. Thanks for the great ones hot again!

Author's Response: I wish they could have had more of those too. People need to see how much of a father John can truly be, instead of the hunter people think he is.

Quite beautiful. Wish Dean could see that he is special and not because of his "destiny". Thanks!

Author's Response:

You're welcome!

Of course Dean's special; Heaven sent a whole army into Hell to get him back.

I imagine it wasn't alright with Sam at this time. Sam knows it was more than just a dream.

Author's Response:

Yes,. Not right at all. Poor Sam...

 Thank you.

Wow, I guess those holidays were shot for the boys. Dean will have months to angst over Sammy leaving. Ow.

Author's Response:

Yeah.. I've always wanted to see how that night had gone...

 Thanks for the review.

How very true.

Reviewer: moira4eku (Signed) · Date: 24/03/11 02:50 PM · On: Taking Care

I can see Sammy taking care of the car and amulet. Dean's car can take care of it's self now that Sam has Ruby. Just like Dean taking care of himself since Sam has Ruby. Sad but true.

Author's Response:

Yes. Silly Ruby, stealing our Sammy like that. Now who'll keep the Impala company?

Thanks a bunch for your review.

Now, this is what I call truly tragic. Can see it happening, though. Great one shot.

Author's Response:

Helps when you're listening to extremely sad music while you're writing *grins*.

Thanks a bunch!

Eh! I can relate to that after a hard day's work.....and I do recall my younger sister's absolutely lethal deck shoes - think they'd even have banished a demon, they were that bad.

Lovely light moment between the Winchesters - a brief slice of normal in a world of craziness. Nice one! Oh, and loved the mental picture of young Sammy perched high on John's shoulders.

Jules

Author's Response: Thank you very much! I think we can all relate to it a bit. Thought Fatherly!John would be a nice touch. Glad you agree with me.

Oh, Dean.....*sniffles*

And where is Sammy? I'm guessing he didn't survive the apocalypse. No wonder Dean's broken.

Jules

Author's Response:

Yup, you got it. I'm sure we all know that something like this could have easily had happened instead of what actually did.

I hate doing this to the boys, but it's usually all my imagination likes to come up with.

I should probably try to work on something more lighthearted,... *Sheepish grin*

Ah, those boys and their guilt. And it could so easily have happened this way....but then, we wouldn't have gotten four more seasons of angst....

That last line was a clincher - it would have been a relief at first for Dean to be in his 'perfect' world, away from hunting and misery and loss, focussed on fixing things with his brother and living a normal life.

They break our hearts, don't they?

Jules

Author's Response:

Breaking our hearts is what they seem to be good at, it seems

But it's one of the things we love about them, no? We love watching them shatter, and then gradually piece themselves back together with plenty of playful banter and bro-hugs.

I'm glad you're looking at my stuff, by the way.

*Smiles* It means a lot.

Ouch! That one hurt. Wasn't expecting that. *sniff*

Author's Response: I'm sorry, I don't try to make you feel bad. My imagination can just be very morbid at times; I'll try to come up with something more jovial. I do hope you enjoyed the story, though.

Quite intense, and with Dean's smile on his dead body at the end, an indication that he may even be happy where he is now? Nice one.

Jacq

Author's Response: Thank you very much. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
