What a sweet story ... and kind of sad, too, with Sam wanting a hug from his big brother but wanting to 'grow up' like his dad told him.   It's hard to imagine Sam and Dean like this with the way season 6 (and most of season 4 and 5 really) has them right now.  I miss them being there for each other.   This story helped.

How very, very sweet! I loved how Dean waited Sammy out and Sammy eventually gave in. I do want to hit John upside the head! It's sad that Dean has figured out at such an early age, that his Dad is lacking in the fatherhood department.  I really want to give season 6 Dean a hug, he really needs one! Thanks for the great one shot!

Author's Response: Thank you! I figured with how mature Dean was at a young age he could already comprehend that his father wasn't really much like a father at all. I want to give them both a hug in season 6. ~Charity
