Poor Caleb! I can't imagine how horrible it would be to think you'd killed someone with your mind at that age. Also, it must have been devastating to believe the girl he liked was only using him for sport, like in Carrie. Having seen the movie would have made Caleb feel even worse because he'd compare himself to the freak that Carrie was perceived to be.
Yay for Dean and Pastor Jim! Even if Caleb would have gotten away before Jim could stop him, I'm sure the Brotherhood would have gone after him and brought him back into their fold with loving arms.
