Amazing!  Very eerie and mysterious.  I had to read it three times and each time I picked up something more, went deeper.

I love the detailed descriptions and that you made the intangible become tangible and vice versa--- what is there really isn't there.  And then... it's not empty. It's not quiet. It feels like someone's watching, someone's holding their breath waiting and it's not quite sound that splits the silence, not quite mass and solidity that comes running down the street.

The anguish and desperation are so vivid I can feel them.  Everything about this piece is incredible!  It just... wow!  I have no words except this better not be a one shot and chapter 2 needs to come quickly!!!

Great story hun, as I told Ilka - I found myself plunged in several places as I read this ( not what you intended) but it happened nonetheless because of your wonderful descriptives...

Cold Oak and Stull readily sprang to mind... the cold mud... the harsh sterility of the cemetary... and I suppose its mostly just because that like the futuristic AU you created- Sam and Dean had just been down that road way too many times before.

Still, whats most captivating is just the overwhelming desolation you create and parallel between the setting of the town and the eventual ending with the characters- namely Sam... but effectively with the reflection of Dean's "I can't do this anymore" or even Castiels "I AM LOST"

Its VERY powerful.

Well done... and beautiful!

AWWWWEESOME... as I said, best one you EVER wrote... LOVE it to bits.. man... THE MUD, Stull, their personalities... it's all there... fleetingly, an echo, a flicker of something important and very intimate (not in a wincestery way !!! gah) ... brotherhood in the last few seconds... leaving an imprint on time, a town and I may go as far as to say on all the fandome...

really... that's just how it'll be when the show ends and a few years pass... dust on everything, memories caught in time... but you can go there... relive the joy, action, drama, tragedy... it's all there... oh boy... sooooooo good.

I felt like I was the one walkin down that road... down memory lane... damn, that woulda been a good title too!! LMAO

Thanks for sharing it. And I LUUUURVE the banner, you just keep amazing with every arty thing you do, hun. such a talented chick... I am proud to be your friend... *hugs you tight*

Author's Response: This never woulda seen the light of day without your encouragement hun, so thank YOU!You're right, Memory Lane would've been a great title too! (Though it does inevitably make me thik of 'Penny Lane', for some reason...)
