I really felt for Sam in that episode, especially waking from the nightmare of being possessed, wondering why he was on the floor with a burn mark on his arm, and then getting slugged in the face by his hurt and bleeding brother - lol. No wonder his head was spinning. And that was before he started to remember all the horrible details.
Loved the visuals you put into this, hun, especially the scene in the motel room where Dean was watching Sam's face change from the innocent child he used to be into the world-weary hunter he had become. That was a gorgeous little moment, and really well painted. Loved, too, Dean's silent vow at the end to protect his brother and take away every curse and pain that came his way.
Sam's tension was well done - for someone who needs to be in control of his life as much as Sam does, being possessed must have been almost the worst torture (the worst being losing his brother). So it makes perfect sense that there would be some pretty serious fallout from the events of that week. And that the laughter in the car would soon fade to guilt and remorse and the feelings of having been violated.
Great job, Karen - thank you so much for sharing.
