Woooooot!!!!! Holy crap, I thought you couldn't top last chapters' vivid imaginations of softie Dean in my head, but EMO Dean is even better :) But this is probably one of the funniest sentences ever on this site: "Then he became a one-man methane factory - I swear to God, even the flowers on the wallpaper were starting to wilt from the smell. If I'd tied him to the Impala's roof and stuck a sail on the hood, we could have made forty miles an hour just from the gale coming out of his ass!" Jules, you rock! So, Bobby has broken the curse, or has he? It almost seemed too easy, right? Oh man, is it Friday yet? Dying to read more :) Hugs!
Author's Response: Awww, thanks Dagmar. So glad you like soggy Dean. Poor dear needs a hug in the worst way....and another box of tissues. That line inspired Chris to make that banner, actually. It turned out so well, don't you think? I have no idea how I even came up with that line - I was just picturing Sam in full, frustrated rant and it just popped into my head. He does have a wonderfully caustic sense of humour, and I like to tap into that when I can. Dean in the show has so many funny lines, but when given the opportunity, Sam's not too shabby with the zingers either. As for whether Bobby's broken that curse....there's that mobile phone.....or was that just one of my red herrings? *grins* Jules

"The Summer of Love" - what a perfect name for this chapter - lol! I can so see Dean in that field of wildflowers... ah man... beautiful... sigh :) !!! I LOVED grumpy Bobby on the phone seeing no need to rush to the boys soon but then Dean goes all softie and he is "on his way". What's next? Witching hour? Moving on...
Author's Response: Hey, Dagmar! ..*hugs*... Flower-power Dean was pretty sweet, wasn't he? Staring up at the clouds, hugging everything....awwwww.... Oh, I'm thrilled that scene with Bobby on the phone came out all right. That got tweaked to death in a few places, I can tell you - lol. Ah, the witching hour. A bit of a clue there. Hope you like what's in store for day four. Jules

Dean crying and crying, I was crying but from laughing, lol. I'm afraid that Bobby didn't break the curse, what's going on with Dean and dropping his phone not once but twice, can't wait for the fifth day to come. Funny banner from Chris btw.
Author's Response: Thanks hun. He was rather funny, wasn't he? In a soggy sort of way - lol. Ah, the curse. Well, day five will tell us whether Bobby was successful there. Dean at least wasn't over emotional when Bobby woke him after midnight. But there's that falling phone.... So glad you liked the banner - it's a corker, isn't it? Jules

I'm enjoying this story. I can't wait to see what happens to poor Dean next. *evil grin*
Author's Response: Hey! Thanks for that. I'm really pleased you're enjoying it. Ah, yes, poor Dean. And I'm not finished with him yet. *grins evilly back*....I'm having way too much fun putting him through all these hoops. He's going to be like a wrung-out dishrag by the time the story's done. And the worst thing is....he'll remember every single moment....*cackles*.... Hope you enjoy Day Five. Jules

Well..that went well...well...almost...lol. That was another HILARIOUS chapter!! Aww..man, from where do you get those ideas, huh! I mean, seriously! A chick!Dean!!! Even I don't watch such chicky movies, let alone crying my heart out. Hehehe. And I can't certainly blame Sam for his crappy attitude toward Dean! First, he's got a nasty concussion and what! puked all over his brother!! :P:P and then Dean was busy being a cry baby! Just freaking awesome!!!! Glad Bobby got there in time and at least tried to handle the well!! crappy situation. Now I don't think that the curse's over, coz... we've still got 3 more days left, right!! Now I can't wait for Friday... I want to read it right nooooowwww... Rating! 1000/100 ROFL Love it, Rituparna :))))))))
Author's Response: Hullo, hun! Well, my head's a really strange place at the best of times, and this idea just popped in one day, and grew from there. I had a bit of trouble with the list of torture, but with the help of my beta and some advice from Tree, I got it locked down at the end. And yes, Sam's a bit fed up, isn't he? This is one weird curse. But he does have a concussion - that could be making him grouchy. Thank heavens Bobby has arrived to play referree - lol. Three more days? Well, it does say seven days in the title, so there's a bit more to go yet before I'm done torturing my Deany-babe. I'm just having so much fun! hugs Jules

firstly love the line and the banner. Emo Dean is awesome. steele Magnolias and sulking in a bathroom, priceless. Don't think it's over yet though, Dean seams awefully clumsy. Definately my favourite story of the moment. Off to check out your recs, hope you don't get too much rain. We've only had about four rainy days all winter, not too great come summer time.catch you next week. Deb
Author's Response: Hi, Deb. Not too much rain - it was a long forgotten memory by Saturday morning. The weather's been a bit weird lately, and they're predicting a hot, wet summer. Every Queenslander knows what that means....storms. Some Friday night postings might have to be delayed due to scary atmospheric conditions. We've actually had a lot of rain over the last month - really unusual for us. Winter is usually dry as, contrary to all the cold and flu ads where it's always raining. My two little tanks for the garden are full to overflowing. The banner's pretty schmick, isn't it? Chris sent it to me at work, and I burst out laughing. It was perfect. And yep, Dean's got PMS on a rampage! LOL. Tears and tantrums, and getting upset because Sam didn't like his flowers. As for day five, well, there's that mobile hitting the floor. Or I could have something else up my sleeve. One never knows. *grins*... See you Friday, Jules

Ha ha ha...the banner ...it's...ha ha ha...omg I love...ha ha ha! So excellent! Great chatper. I want to see emo Dean on screen. I can't imgaine what is going on, can't wait for you to drop the bomb on me! I know there's a twist in here but I just don't see it -- yet. And you are far too sweet thank you for the plug...Hugs! Off to read your other rec, soon. And I shall wait until Friday...it is fun to look forward to your story! Take great care my talented friend, Karen
Author's Response: Oh, no problems, my friend. The Rotar is a sweet story. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Chris did a pretty good job with the banner, didnt she? She loved that line. Poor Dean looks so embarrassed. Ah, emo!Dean. Think Bobby needs to buy more tissues - lol. Twist? Well.....no, no twist. We know now that it's a curse. Or do we? *chuckles evilly*... Yes, okay, there might be a little twist. Just, you know, like a bend in the road. Hope you enjoy day five, hun. Jules

I can't wait to see what's in store for Dean on Day 5! I loved the part where Dean got his feelings hurt and stormed off into the bathroom. Love Chris's banner. That was a hilarious line but Sam wasn't being very sensitive to his brother's condition, was he? Shame on you Sammy. ROFL And thanks for the story plug Jules. :) I'm flattered.
Author's Response: No problems, Sonya. Madness is a great story, it deserves recognition. Ah, day five. Well, I could tell you, but then that would spoil the fun - lol. Emo!Dean was pretty fragile, wasn't he? Locking himself in the bathroom to hide, watching chick-flick movies. And no, Sam's getting a little - shall we say, intolerant? But then, he's not seeing a really bad reaction to the curse, just some rather strange by-products of whatever the warlock had been cooking up at the time of his demise. Not long to go now before day five, and more Dean torture! LOL! Jules

heee, awesome banner! Love the expression on Dean's face, and you just know that's EXACTLY how Sam would have pictured it in his head! But Dean seems a little clumsy, all of a sudden - you just know that's gonna be a disaster on a hunt! Lovin' this story - can't believe I haven't reviewed it before now! It's such a wonderful way to 'torture' the boys - BOTH of them! And poor Bobby, trying to deal with emo!Dean. Love to see that scene! Roll on next Friday... Cal
Author's Response: Thanks, Cal. Chris came up with that on the spur of the moment. It turned out perfectly. Ah, yes, Dean does seem a wee bit klutzy now that it's gone midnight, doesn't he? Can it be the curse, or is he just naturally clumsy in sleep? Thanks hun - so chuffed that you are enjoying it. And yeah, it's a fun kind of torture. I sat down and made a list of the most embarrassing things I could do to Dean - and this made it through the final editing. LOL. More to come! Jules

First of all, fantastic line from Sam - If I'd tied him to the Impala's roof and stuck a sail on the hood, we could have made forty miles an hour just from the gale coming out of his ass!" - and awesome banner from Chris, both had me in stitches! Thank goodness Bobby has arrived and just in the nick of time too as the boys are almost at the end of their rope with each other - Sam with Dean's odd behaviour which changes daily and Dean not only coping with his curse but with an unsympathetic little brother! You will not be surprised to know that I have never seen Steel Magnolias but get the gist of it from Dean's tearful explanation to Bobby! At least Bobby has decided that Dean's predicament has nothing to do with the hunt for the tailypo and has something to do with what he stepped in in Shoshone when they went to dispel the witch. Obviously Dean was unlucky to step in the ash but Sam did too, only his must have inactive. But if the boot had been on the other foot, literally, how would Dean have coped with Sam being cursed, not much different from Sam probably! Unfortunately I don't think that Bobby's cleansing of the witches house has worked as since the stroke of midnight Dean has now knocked his mobile phone to the floor twice which, if it is what I think it is, will not bode well for the hunt tomorrow! At least he isn't all emo and tearful though, not sure any of them could have coped with much more of that! Can't wait until next weeks instalment, but will all three of them manage to keep their sanity? Sarah
Author's Response: That was a pretty good one, wasn't it? Not quite sure where it came from, but it did inspire a pretty spiffy banner. Thanks sis - yep, Bobby's arrived, but will he be able to break the curse before they all go nuts? Or before Bobby has to hide the weapons..... And no, I'm not surprised that you haven't seen Steel Magnolias, although I have to express astonishment - I didn't think ostrichs were native to England, but there you are, head in the sand and everything! LOL. Just Dean's luck that he had to step - and slip - into the only active bit of ash on that basement floor - lol. As for day five, well, that mobile did hit the floor... Dun-dun-dunnnnnnn, as Kris would say. Jules

First of all, Sam's line and the banner Chris made for it, absolute genius. I pictured in my head while reading it and laughed, but seeing that banner, wow, Chris outdid herself, its beautiful. Poor Sam, had to sit outside, because he couldn't take it anymore, but he did behave like a butt. I mean, I understand he has a head injury and he had to put up with Dean's strange behaviors and odors for days now, but he really could have bitten his tongue here or walked out. Well at least Bobby is here now. As for Dean, I felt sad but I couldn't help giggling. Steel Magnolias, really? I mean it's a good movie and all, but Dean even considering watching it is so far out, it just made me laugh. I so pictured this in my head, Dean sitting there with a box of tissues in one hand, a bunch of used one in the other and sniffling and crying, wiping his red, swollen eyes from time to time, while anxiously staring at the TV screen. This is just so funny. As for Bobby thinking he broke the curse, I think not. I don't know what we are in for next, but I have the feeling it has to do with Dean knocking his cell phone off twice. Maybe uberklotzy Dean? Can't wait to see. I just think this has the right mix of humorous, angst and hurt in it. Definitely well written, like always and rolls like a TV show across my mind's eye. Hugs, Vonnie
Author's Response: Hun, your painted picture of Dean sitting watching Steel Magnolias made me laugh out loud. And yes, it's a great movie, but so chick-flicky that Dean would rather pull out his toenails than sit and watch it.....under normal circumstances, that is. No wonder Sam fled the room - lol. And yes, he did behave like an insensitive little brat - lol. But as you say, Bobby's here now, and he won't stand for any crap. Let's hope he really has sorted out the curse so the boys can go hunt the Tailypo. Let's not forget the big scary monster that's eating people. The banner is great, isn't it? It turned out so perfectly. Chris sent it to me at work, and I'm just glad I was on my own in the office at the time, because I think I let out a very fangirl squeal of delight...shh, don't tell anyone - lol. Thank you hun. I like the humour ones to break up the angst from time to time. I'm glad to know it's going over so well. Ah, uberklotzy Dean? Well, he did knock that mobile phone to the floor - twice.... Jules

Hee Hee! Dean crying- I love it! I love the banner too. LOL! I'm glad they know what is going on, because yes, this is a seriously difficult week for Dean. By the way, thank you for the recommendations in your notes. I pay attention to those as I'm looking for new good stories to read!
Author's Response: Hey, Julie, Awww, he was pretty sad, wasn't he, walking around clutching his tissue box - lol. And yes, the banner turned out brilliantly. Yep, they know what's going on, but will it help them? Let's hope Bobby broke the curse. Or did he..... Oh, no worries with the recs. They're both really good stories. I hope you enjoy them. Jules

Author's Response: Hi, Jo! Thank you! The banner is a cracker, isn't it? I just love Dean's expression with the hand clapped over his mouth - lol. So glad you're loving this one, hun. More torture to come - he's got another three days....whatever will I do to him in that time....*grins* Jules

Sweet Dean put a big grin on my face. Bobby wasn't very worried until he talked to Dean himself, now he's coming to help and fast, lol. Sam finally saw the glow at Dean's foot and the change of his behavior. What is it, how to fight it, can't wait for Sam to figure out. Another painful day ahead for the brothers. Only two days to wait for day 4.
Author's Response: Hi, hun! Sorry - missed this one! It's been one of those weeks... Sweet Dean was pretty special, wasn't he? LOL. And the beauty of it was, he wasn't even aware of it. And yep, Sam's got a clue now, but he's also got an over-emotional brother and a head injury, so it's going to be interesting to see if he can put it all together. And of course, Bobby's on his way. Hopefully he can shed some light on the weird happenings. Or perhaps not - lol Jules

this is a lubricant notion of enjoyment...poor sam... this so does rock jewels. i am seeing it as i read it and i do redirect the notion of sam not giving him any more food in case a seriouly ignited bomb goes off threw the night and it ends up rattling the inn they are in to the ground...i dought Dean Winchester would ave any insurance for that problem :) ;)...man re-reading it threetims was worth it.
Author's Response: Thanks, Ivonne. Yes, I agree - Sam better withhold the food, especially the spicy stuff, until Dean's little problem goes away. But somehow I have a feeling that even if he stuck to bread and water, he'd still have uncontrollable gas.... Don't light a match.......LOL. Jules

Well, good thing is that I'm gonna read the next chapter without having been delayed.
Author's Response: I don't know, hun. Sometimes the alerts play up a little bit. You could try unticking the function, log out, log back in after about ten minutes and re-select it, see if that resets the alert function for you. Ah, well, you've caught up now, so that's good. Thank you Jules for the wonderful image you just put in my head of Dean lying on his back in a field of wildflowers. Man, I wish I was with him! I loved the idea of Dean being all happy and enjoying everything around him but at the same time it was bittersweet. It's too bad he doesn't have time to enjoy the little things more often....although maybe with not quite so much gusto. :) I loved Sam and Bobby's conversation on the phone. That was dead on. I can only imagine what the next chapter is going to bring with Dean going all emo. Should be another good one! Can't wait til Friday!
Author's Response: Hi, Sonya, He was precious, wasn't he? And don't forget, he carried that bunch of flowers all through the hunt - lol. Yes, it was bittersweet - they don't get to lower their guard much, do they? Although, I don't think Dean's ideal down-time would involve lying in a field of flowers or hugging trees.... Oh, I'm really pleased you loved the conversation! Parts of it were tweaked to death - lol. So it's good to know it worked. And yep, Dean's gone all PMS-y now - who knows what he'll get up to on day four. Thank heavens Bobby's on his way. Jules

Jules I absolutely love flower power Dean! he would be so horrified. You almost gave me hay fever just reading about Dean lying in a field of wildflowers. Sam and Bobby's reaction was just brilliant, can't wait to see what they make of emo Dean. I'm guessing the glow around his foot has something to do with the warlock and the ashes he stood in?
Author's Response: Hey, Deb! I was rather proud of the way that whole sequence worked out with Dean spending quality time with flowers and clouds, while Sam's freaking out to Bobby on the phone, trying to convince their surrogate father that it wasn't a prank - lol. Ah, the glow around his foot and the ashes back at Shoshone....well, I could tell you, but then I might have to kill you - lol. I'll just sit here and smirk. Or you could go back to Day One and see which foot slipped in the warlock's house.....or I could be leading you up the garden path.... We'll find out in the next chapter...*grins*.. Jules

Author's Response: Hey, Karen! Yes, he is indeed - high as a kite. Well, he was until midnight - lol. But he was rather sweet, wasn't he? All cuddly and caring, like a big teddy bear. Okay, now this was truly creepy. I know Dean is the one that is more touchy feely, although he doesn't think he is, yet this, wow, way too much. Dean being all sugary and hugging Sam for no real reason, other than that he is going to drive that Dean can watch the scenery, way beyond too much. And speaking about scenery, I admire a nice sunset and beautiful flowers, but Dean, not him. I understand that Sam is completely freaked now, especially because Dean doesn't even realize he is doing it anymore. And I understand Bobby thinking that Sam is playing a joke on him and than saying he is on his way after he talks to Dean, what a shock. It looked like Dean was a little more business when they were on the hunt, but he still trailed off a little. And then Sam got hurt, didn't expect that but Dean taking him back to the motel and fixing him up, then rocking his concussed brother, it was almost funny, if I wouldn't have felt bad for Sam trying not to puke. And then the sudden change to completely emo just when a new day starts. Sam seeing the light at his brothers foot, at least it gave him a clue, but it's not going to be easy. Having to watch an emo Dean for 24 hours has to be tough. Who knows what he is going to do in that time. I hope he isn't going to slit his wrists or something, after all, he isn't himself. I really love this story, as it is so imaginative and mixes comedy with drama in a way that it makes me laugh at the same time as I sit there and bite my nails, wondering what is going to happen next. Truly awesome. Now I have to wait for another week, oh well, life is tough. Hugs, Vonnie
Author's Response: LOL - hey, hun. Yes, Dean's mega-touchy-feely now. Well, he was in day three. Now it's day four, and he's a bit - emotionally handicapped. Perhaps a good quality over-the-counter PMS treatment...? Or not.... And no, Dean had no idea he'd become a child of the sixties. So whatever it is affecting him, it's hitting him harder and harder each time. What can it be, since Sam is convinced that the monster couldn't be doing it. It must be something else. Or is it....? Thanks so much, hun, and don't worry - Dean won't be slitting his wrists. I have loads more embarrassment to subject him to before the story's done - lol. But Sam, however......*grins wickedly*... What's scarier... my mind? or the image of Dean lying in a field of wildflowers- picking them and twining them into his short-cropped hair... lmao!!! Okay... I'm thinking right now- that image in my head has me seriously marred!!! hahahahaa... I really have to quit reading these updates while sitting in my office hun... otherwise I think the other folks around me are gonna start worrying about my behavior... oh wait- they already do!!! LOL Seriously though... I think what was even funnier that Dean's behavior was the way Sam and Bobby responded... at first somewhat callous ( like okay- whats he gonna do now? Fight, drink, screw his way across the western US? How can we tell when Dean's NOT normal) then suddenly Bobby's bolting to get out there to help! - Just loved it! And now we have EMO Dean! - not that we dont ever have emo!Dean... we just dont get to see the usual outward manifestations of it so openly! Or at least Sam doesnt!... But at least Sam now has a clue! And Bobby's coming!!! Bring on Day Four!! (poor Dean!) Love it! Tree
Author's Response: Hey, hun, Hmm.....think Dean with flowers in his hair (and possibly going to San Francisco...?) could be slightly scarier than your head-space. But it'd be a close race - lol. But I'm glad I could mess with your imagination and make you laugh. Ah, that conversation. I was rather proud of that one, especially Bobby's abrupt turnaround when the newly minted flower-child got on the phone. And yep, now we have emo Dean - who knows what he's going to get up to while suffering the worst case of PMS known to man - ROFL! I'm having such fun torturing him. And Sam has a clue, but will his bruised and rattled brain be able to put it all together? All I can say is....thank heavens Bobby's on his way....*winks*.... Jules

Just loved this chapter with Dean like some sort of flower-child, love and peace everywhere! No wonder Sammy was freaked as his brother ruffled his hair, hugged trees and picked wildflowers. And certainly not surprised he rang Bobby! Gotta laugh at the older hunter, thinking he was being dragged into a prank war, until Dean came on the phone and finished talking to him by telling Bobby he loved him! No wonder he then told Sam he was immediately on his way - just hope he gets there quickly! So Sam now has a clue, at the stoke of midnight a glow of light surrounds Dean's foot and whatever is affecting him changes! If Sam found it hard coping with high-on-life Dean, how's he going to cope with emo Dean, bursting into tears at the drop of a hat? Sarah
Author's Response: Thanks so much, sis, and for your help in this one too. You know as well as Chris how much grief these latter chapters gave me. Ah, you love flower-child Dean - he's pretty special, isn't he? And yeah, no wonder Sam lost it a little bit and called in some heavy-duty backup. Of course, with the list of Dean's symptoms, no wonder Bobby thought he was being pranked - lol. And yep, that's a clue, all right. Let's see how far Sam goes in putting it all together...remembering that he does have a head injury now.... Jules
