They saved each other - Dean from dying and Sam from succumbing to the complete darkness of his powers.
And the angels really were dicks. *unhappy sigh*...I really couldn't get on board with Kripke's version of angels - except for Cas at the end.
Loved the flashback, with fevered Sammy calling for his brother and Dean finally coming home.
Nice - thank you for sharing, hun. Hope you're having an absolute ball in Vancouver.

Aha, so Sam found Dean a lot earlier than Dean suspected, and has been running interference for his big brother against the baddies.
But the the angels come in and screw things up - practically handing Dean over to the demon by delaying Sam in following his brother.
I was so happy when Anna killed Uriel - almost as happy as when Dean skewered Zachariah. Dean's right - he's a dick. But what's Cas' deal? Whose side is he on in all this? Sam's? Unlikely. But not as unlikely as Uriel.
Ooh, that needle doesn't sound good - hopefully Sam can find a way to track Dean down before Delia carves him into bloody pieces....

I love the idea that the boys saved each other. I also love it that you patched them up right at the time when their relationship was falling apart. It's nice to see!

Oh, oh, oh.......*winces*.......He's all bloody and broken and it's only chapter one!!!!
Dean's introspection before and immediately after he left the motel was so sad, thinking that no one, specifically Sam, needed him, and being done with the whole shebang.
But now he's well and truly gotten himself into a mess - and with that amulet he's made for himself, there won't be any last minute save by Cas. Who, by the way, was rather horrible to Sam.....but then, the angels didn't trust him one little bit in Season 4, did they? Even though the whole time their heirarchy was planning to use him as their own little nuclear warhead, just like the demons were planning to do.
As Dean would say - "Freakin' angels!"
Sam won't stop, though, and he's close. Wonder if he perhaps heard or sensed the scuffle. And wonder what will happen if Delia does get her hands on Sammy and Ruby finds out.....
Great start, hun - ooh, and look! I'm first again! LOL

Oh thank you so much hon! Dean just started talking to me with this one, once he got going he just wouldn't stop. I will be posting more later today.
