Hun, that was brilliant! I think you really outdid yourself this time.
Sam's utter desperation, despair and outright panic just slammed off the page with the speed and impact of a runaway train (nope, not listening to AC/DC right now....LOL). This line did it for me: "I was a ball of nervous, overwrought energy locked inside a cage of horror."
That perfectly encapsulated Sam's rapidly deteriorating state of mind in one simple sentence.
And Dean, not understanding a thing about what was going on as his mind was reset along with the rest of him, thinking that Sam had finally flipped. And being concerned about the broken clock - LOL.
Loved that little brotherly moment just before Dean shot himself in the stomach. And his panic when Sam decided to throw himself off the roof ala Bill Murray in Groundhog Day (which I watched for the dozenth time last weekend, by the way - how freaky is that?) Loved, too, Dean's promise that he'd try to remember, and his attempt at reassuring his distraught brother as he lay dying in Sam's arms.
Awwww.....
And then bang - reset, and poor Sam has to endure it all over again.
Great job, Karen, just great. Thanks so much for sharing.

Author's Response: Aw, my buddy, thank you so, so much!
This story was so fun to write because it truly is my favorite episode. You made my day, my week, my year!
LOL...about the real GH day. I've seen it a bunch of times, too! He he. Esp.
Take care,
