I can't tell you how much I love this story and look forward to every chapter. I'm so curious about what this evil thing can be. Poor Sam! I hope he can resist it, he has enough to deal with!

Enjoyed the story but did not get the ending   It just left everything hanging out there with not solution.

Author's Response: I never said the storywas finished, it was just a chapter break. :) The story isn't done yet, it just might take a while until the next part is posted and I promise there will be a solution! Thank you!

Ok this is screwing me up big time. It feels like something reeeeeaaaaally horrible is happening to Sam. Something 'Revolutionary Road' horrible, if you catch my drift?

Author's Response: I don't mean to screw you up... Okay, not true, maybe I do! ;) Yes, something really horrible is happening to him and there will be consequences, for him, for John, for any of them. I'm REALLY happy you're enjoying it so far! :)

This is physical agony! It's like watching an animal struggle in the last few minutes of life and not doing a damn thing about it. Really. I'm hating you a little right now for writing so well.

*checks remaining chapters* Damn...

Author's Response: I'm... flattered, I guess, I've never had someone hate me before. ;) No, seriously, this means a lot to me, I'm often not sure about my writing (mostly when I'm stuck and just want to throw the whole thing away) so this definitely cheers me up! Thanks! (Again! ;)

I find this immensely interesting. The subject of Sam and John's relationship has been written and re-written to death, but I'm actually hopeful that this will be more insightful than the usual runaround. And I'm certainly not gonna complain about more Sam and less Dean. Though I think Jensen is a more able actor, I think Sam's character is more interesting. Also the added bonus of lupine characteristices meldeing with Sam's personality has me on the edge of my seat. Can't wait to see what you'll do with this 'verse.

Author's Response: The John and Sam relationship thing is what made me write this one in the first place. AND it's still the thing that holds my interest, together with the lupine-thing. I've always wanted to write something with a wolf in it, even though I'm not really a fan of transformation-fics at all. Anyway, for me working on this has shown me one or two sides of John I hadn't thought about before so, for me, it's definitely a plus to write this. It's not the first 'verse I've started, but it's definitely the one I'm most interested in. I really hope it will be as insightful to you as it is to me! Thanks!

You have no idea how much I love this story! I see a new chapter up now, so am off to read it pronto. I don't "do" a lot of WIP fics because I'm too impatient to wait for the next part, but this one I couldn't resist.

Medusa

Author's Response:

I know what you mean, I normally don't like reading WIPs either, for exactly that reason. I'm really sorry I'm a rather slow writer, English isn't my 1st language and that tends to really slow me down at times, but I'm trying to get it written as fast as I can, promise! :) Hope you liked the new chapter!

“I can’t please any of you, can I?”

Heartbreaking. I know, Dean has no clue, but I don´t like him very much right now.

I love your story!

Author's Response:

Please don't hate Dean, it's really not his fault. (And I'd never thought I'd say that, btw! ;) ) Things will look up eventually, though it might take some time to get there... :D

Thank you SO much!

It is so perfect! I am really happy, that we have another part of this wonderfull story!

And there are so many questiones, and NO answers - oh, it hurts.

Author's Response: Oh, so yours is one of the reviews I didn't get when my PC died. :( I'm so sorry for not answering this sooner. And yes, questions and I promise to answer some of them (and bring up others ;) ) in the next chapters! :D

I want you to know, this story is one of the two best stories I have ever read here.I am looking forward for another chapter.

Author's Response: Well, wow, you have me speechless. Thank you! I've never read something like this about my stories before, really means a lot!

Sam, in any form is ready to give his live for his father, no matter what happened. I love that, because it's so Sam. Awesome chapter, yet the ending is evil. Hope an update isn't going to far off.

I enjoyed the body language Sam exhibits as a dog. Developing one different from usual dog behavior, although he isn't Sam, yet a dog, shows how his intelligence carries over. Love how he reacts. Hugs, Vonnie

Author's Response:

Yes, that's exactly what I loved about writing it, Sam being ready to give his life for John, no hesitation at all. And I could so see the wolf getting between John and the vamp, no way he's ever going to let it get close to him.

The body language thing was fun to write and will be important in later chapters as well. ;) And yes, I'm working on the update, one half is already done! :) Thank you so much for your words!

Oh, great. Wonderfull. I love it.

But now I could only wait for another part and it is soooooo terrible waiting.

Author's Response:

I swear I'm working on it! ;)

So happy you like it, writing action-sequences has never been something I enjoy for some reason...

Okay, so I was wrong, at least partially. I don't mind though, I like stories where I don't see through right away. John obviously does care very deeply, but he is just as bound by the curse as Sam is. Was it right to bind Sam to him? Maybe, maybe not, but it looks like he did the only thing he could at the time in order to protect his son. Now he sees that even though it is keeping Sam relatively save, he is loosing him anyway. Yet instead of trying to be understanding, he is being a stubborn Winchester, shutting Sam down. And he can obviously see that this isn't going to work much longer. He is loosing Sam. Too bad not even the moments of pride he feels help him to change. And this hunt, it seems to get tenser and it looks like it is going to bring a change, maybe a solution to their problem, for better or worse. Guess now I have to wait for the next chapter like everybody else. Hope I don't have to wait too long, but I also know how real life can be and how fickle the muse is. Hugs, Vonnie

Author's Response:

John and shutting Sam down... I have this feeling John has this idea like "we're gonna talk about it later, after the hunt" and I think he's been saying that for four years now. Cause, you know, the hunt might be over but the next one has already started and he doesn't feel he has time to talk, waste time on something he can't change. And, on top of that, he feels guilty and that just shuts him off.

Huh, I'm defending John again... hehehe, sorry, I'm doing that a lot lately. ;)

Bobby, gotta love the guy. His look at the family isn't a pleasant one though and he obviously is trying not to take sides. Yet as neutral as his observations try to be, they still are very sad and show a completely disfunctional family. Dean unable to stand up to his dad, at least most the time and Sam very angry, lost and without any control, mostly because of the truth. Some rare moments of happiness, but mostly the kid is living a life that really doesn't seem to be worth living. Knowing what we know from canon, it makes sense that Sam would be this way, if he wouldn't have been able to go to Stanford and develop some independence there. And John, the father, who in canon was harsh, yet loving and occasionally there was a glance off it, never had to see his son walk away and maybe learn to appreciate him more. Here he might love him the same way, yet he sees this wild creature that his son changes into without having control over it an feels he has to control his life even more, because Sam can't. And he does it in a way that brings nothing but rebellion out in Sam and very likely an even greater feeling of hopelessness. I know it's your story and maybe I'm misunderstanding a lot here, but that's what I'm getting out of it. If I'm wrong, please correct me.

Love the story, no matter what. Hugs, Vonnie

Author's Response: You are right with it, basically, the only thing that's different is the fact, as you point out later in the other review, that John doesn't have a choice, if he lets Sam go, if he lets him leave there is a great risk the curse will somehow be the death of him. And, just like on the show, he'd never risk Sam's life, he'd rather walk away (like on the show) or take control of Sam('s life) to make sure he's protected. And yes, he is harsh, you are so right about that, and that makes writing him so challenging, because he does care, even if he can never really show that to Sam. And, of course, the more you try to control Sam the more he will rebel. They have to work this out somehow, they have to find a way to make this work.
