Knowing that Dean's necklace was only a prop pulled from a box and was never intended as part of the story, I have always hated it...especially when the writers explained it away by making it the God finder that didn't work.  Yours is such a simple and much more realistic way of explaining something that really should have never been.  This is the way I'll choose to remember it. You know, I have read and re-read this review many times before responding. It kinda of took me by surprise as I have always though of Dean's amulet as something special, even before it was a God-finder. I am glad that you liked the drabble and it has given you another way to think of it, you have done that for me too.
