Very nice story! I really like how, even though Dean and Sam can't talk about stuff important to them both, they could meet up through a little kid. He let Dean be nurturing, and let Sam be both a younger and an older brother, so each of the Winchesters could see some of the better parts of each other! Thanks so much. I look forward to reading more of your work.

Dean's English is a little wonky, and you've got some colloquialisms that sound a little funny but I gather you're from Manchester? I'm american; my husband's from Liverpool, so I see where the locutions are coming from. Poor Dean! Poor Chiu-Wai! And Sam and Jerry too...

I'm so pleased to have found this! I studiedMandarin in grad school, lived in Taiwan for a while. Some of the zi are different from what I'm used to, but close enough to figure out what the little guy's saying. Though, you're right, it's just fine without knowing! My only question is about the premise -- why wouldn't the uncle just ask them to take care of the poltergeist? Knowing they're hunters and all...? Anyway, liking it a lot so far!

I finally found time to read this story in one sitting and I am oh so glad that I did. This story had it all - angst, humor, family, whump. I loved it all and was sad to see it end. Dean's relationship to Chiu-Wai was spot on and completely in character and I'm heartbroken knowing that the goodbyes were coming. Congratulations on an excellent story!

Awwww... dude- dude Toza write a sweet happy ending for Dean... something that's almost Kleenex-worthy??? LOL.... I must admit- I love the little guy... and I can almost see the embarrassed glow on Dean's face with the whole Kaai-Yeh thing - pouring off the screen....
Awesome story hun!- Sorry I didnt get the chance to comment on every chapter- but I enjoyed every word. Loved the poltergeist- loved the little kid- and I especially loved the relationship between him and the brothers.
Wonderfully woven- AS USUAL!!! with twists, turns and of course- just enough whump to keep an addict like me blissfully satistfied!

I'm so sad to see this story come to an end and say goodbye to the little tyke. I just loved that Chiu-Wai practically adopted Dean as his "father". I'm sure Dean will be crushed (but will hide it) once he and Sam have to say goodbye to him. Just goes to show that Dean would have been an incredible dad. Thanks for the great story.

what an absolutely wonderful story with a perfect ending. You gave Dean a chance to be a dad, I'm not crying really, theres something in my eye!

Ok, so I ‘m sitting at work reading this and now I'm all teary!!I've enjoyed this story so much. Every chapter was a delight. Whether keeping me on the edge of my seat, or making me laugh out loud.Little Chiu-Wai totally stole my heart, the brother's relationship was so beautifully captured, and if I thought for one second I couldn't love Dean any more....well, after reading this...I do.Wonderful story. I hope they are right about the paintings and don't get hurt too badly at the house. I imagine Mini Dude would freak if something seriously bad happen to Dean or Sam. I guess he knows that Sam and Dean will leave him soon, too. Sam seems more sorry that he wasn't able to have the family life or Dean wasn't either than actually being jealous of Dean's relationship with Chiu-Wai. Looking forward to the next part!

Such a bittersweet chapter- both Sam and Dean looking at Chiu-Wai and thinking of the 'what-if's... they both could have had such wonderful lives- would have been great dad's in their own ways... but as Dean said... considering the forces at play...???

I know I've said this before and I am starting to sound repetitious and boring but I just love this story. The kid, Dean, Sams confusion and longing...the dream! The dream made me laugh! Bless him. Dean really is finding him self loving that sweet little tyke. That was a really scary nightmare Dean had and Wai Jai must have "seen" Dean's dream. I wonder if there is anything to the dream? Hopefully, Sam has figured out the problem with help from Wai Jai. Can't wait to read the next chapter!

Wow! whats with the scary dream and Chui-Wai dropping all his pencils in fright? No idea what the chicken shoes mean but can't wait to find out.
Love Chui-Wai's picture of the impala meaning so much to Dean and Sam getting in trouble for not being as good a singer as Dean - priceless.

ShortRound.... I was sooo channelling Indy right along side you and Dean there.... I love it!!!
Ok- I think I know what's going on here now... I always kinda thought it surrounded the kid and now I'm pretty sure I got it... seems like Sam does too. And poor Dean... wounded and having nightmares... not like he doesn't have them 99% of the time anyway- but so attached to that kid. Kinda sweet and sad too.
I loved the little nuance that the spade wasnt aimed for Dean's head or for that matter his back- but rather something a tad lower... nice touch there...
Ok- I need the next chapter now... please please...!!!!!!
