Great story, but I feel sorry for Dean. He is the most mature of the three of them in your story, and yet John and Sam do not appreciate the sacrifices he makes for their family. I look forward to reading more stories from you.

I feel sorry for Dean too. Poor guy had to be the adult in the family long before he actually became an adult.

Gulp, great day! Sam was a real brat here. Poor Dean! He tried so hard to help Sammy out by going up against his dad and succeeding to get what Sam wanted, to only have Sam slam the door in his face. I couldn't believe what Sam said at the end. What was he thinking? Dean has and always will fight for Sam and do his best to protect him. Ungrateful brat. Thanks for the great one shot.

I guess it's just the way the things are between our favourite brothers in their teens. Dean will do anything for Sam and he both takes it for granted and founds it annoying. Besides - Sam had always been a bit rebelious and at 14 he is bound to be even more so. Add having an overprotective brother hover above him all the time and being a brat comes naturally.

A good first shot. Well done. I think you nailed Dean and John and, whilst I hate to think of Sam as so petulent and self-centered, I suppose he's no differnt than any other 14 year old who has lost the concept of gratitude.
I'd like to read more stories by you. Thank you.
