This was really good. I loved the insights into each brother's thoughts, and especially the fact that Sam felt that redemption and a sense of being reborn. I'm hoping that Sam will feel that same sense of getting a second chance in the show, because he does deserve it. He tried so hard to do the right thing, only to have it turn back on him time and time again. And I completely agree with the final passage with the brothers together, heading on down the road, and that being Sam's idea of Heaven. Great one-shot - thank you so much for sharing this with us. Jules
Author's Response: Thank you for reviewing! I feel the same about Sam - everyone was so hard on him ):

What a great story. I loved your closing lines --- 'It is now: in the passenger seat of the Impala as Dean drives down a long, open road toward another job, the air cool on his hot face, his brother's voice singing along to the worn cassette tapes that fill the car with the familiar drum beats and guitar riffs of old. It's just them, traveling their own course, and maybe saving a few good people along the way.' That is how I would like to imagine the brothers. Excellent!
Thanks for sharing your story with us. I enjoyed reading it.
Author's Response: Thank you! I think this is how I'd like to see season 6 end: just them, together, on the road again.

Great tag to the episode! I liked your reasoning behind why Sam is saved. Didn't expect Michael to whine, but then, he has been through a lot.
Author's Response: Thank you! I expect Michael might have a few choice words to say about his Father's Almighty Plan while in Hell.
