I try not to read other authors while I'm in writing mode, because for one, there are so many talents out there that it can be discouraging, and I worry about being derivative. But I glanced through this story and then stayed glued to it all morning. Really enjoyed it, Thanks for writing it!---Mal

I know what you mean about being discouraged, but I don't worry about being derivative...there aren't that many plots around! ... and there are many, many times that someone posts a story just like one I've been working on for months just before I can post it myself. *sigh* Great minds think alike, I guess...

Wow.
What a great story. I absolutely loved the ending, with Dean and Maria's goodbye. It was touching without being too sweet, tender without being sappy. Honestly, this didn't feel like fan fiction. It was a cut above.

God, this is so good!!! And gripping!!! (And confusing! lol) I'm as lost as Dean is, but still completely hooked.

great story.
You made Dean vulnerable and had me wanting to jump in to protect him.
Liked how you had him using his other senses since he could not use his eyes. no gorgeous green eye to see. poor nurses.
Liked Dr. Benally a lot; kept Dean on his toes. and saving him from the skinwalker.
John showing up was a nice touch.

Wonderful story. Dean's confusion at the beginning is nothing compared to trying to figure out who is a good guy and who is the baddie!!! Quite suspenseful, especially with Dean so vulnerable and alone. Excellent job all around. I really liked the Dr., and the Indian Skinwalker lore is really cool! I've got to share this one with my SN buddy at work!

I'm sorry to see this story coming to an end, I wouldn't have mind some more chapters! Great ending though, I loved that John showed up!

I think John really loved the boys, but was just so single-minded that he sometimes forgot that they needed a father. Besides, I'm a sucker for happy (sort of) endings.

I got caught up on the story this morning, and this is AWESOME! I love the first chapter, and Dean thinking that he's in a hospital. I love it that you've got him pretty much helpless, and he's still capable of following through with his hunt. I love Dr. Benally. She's wonderful, and exactly what Dean needs to get the job done. I'm also a big sucker for a blind Dean, so my heart is all squishy for him right now. Thank you thank you!

I love Dr. Benally, too. She started out as just a rough idea and kind of took over on her own, kind of like she did with Dean!

Great story so far, not sure whose real or skinwalkers. Was the dad that visited Dean the real one? Was Sam real? Why do they keep putting restraint on Dean? My son's favourite expression applies here. I'M CONFUSED. But more soon, can't wait.

Hmmmm.....I had a feeling all along through this chapter that Dean was in a hospital. I'm still wondering if he really is? A very gripping chapter. I can see why he would be restrained, if he kept pulling out his IV and other tubing and wires. I can't wait to see where you are taking this story.
