A good ending - had me going when Alicia disappeared from her room. For a minute there, I thought she'd gotten out to go after the boys again. But when I realised she had been pulled by Azazel into Cold Oak for the special kids' version of America's Top Model, I actually shivered.... Glad the boys are slowly reconnecting again, after everything they went through. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Jules
Author's Response: Thank you so much for reading and for all of your kind reviews. You are awesome! :D

Whew....that was some rescue. Poor Dean, charging to rescue his brother, only to have Sam, sick as he was, half-carry the older Winchester back to the cars. Wonder what Bobby's going to do with crazy Alicia? At least both boys are at the hospital now, where they can get some help. Thankfully Nurse Ratched's cousin turned out to be nice after all - lol. OMG - she shot Dean! Loved the switching back and forth between all the main characters - I could picture them all clearly, moving towards each other through the still raging storm. Am really, really hoping that shot is from a gun not held by crazy Alicia..... Jules

So, the YED makes an appearance, and it looks like he's turned another of the special kids into a killer. Not good for Dean, not good at all. Especially when Alicia finds out Sam's taken off as well. She's going to go absolutely mental....and probably take it out on Dean.... Not that Dean's going to make it easy for her. He'll be in full-on hunter and pissed big brother mode now. Not that he wasn't before, but after seeing the evidence of the room where Sam's been held captive, especially the bloody ropes and syringe, he's going to be ramped up to the max. And oh, Sam - concussed again and totally confused....and heading in the wrong direction. And getting sicker...not good, not good at all..... Jules

Thank heavens Ash found an address - just hope it's the right one. The fact that the phone has been disconnected and there's not much furniture in the house is a bit worrying. And thankfully, too, that Bobby is sticking with Dean - there's no way Dean's going to be able to keep a level head when he finally confronts Alicia. Good for Sam getting away. Not good that it looks like he's getting that chest infection the doctor warned Dean about. And really not good that he's hoofed it out of there in the middle of a raging thunderstorm, despite it being his only chance to get away from his psychotic kidnapper. Things are going to get messy, aren't they? Jules

Hell's bells - Sam's in it up to his neck. There isn't going to be an easy escape from this one. My heart ached for him when he realised that Alicia was one of the 'special children' like himself, but completely deranged. His fear for his own eventual fate came through so clearly. Geez, I'm so glad Bobby got through to Dean before he had his head taken off! Because Dean would have really regretted it had that punch landed. But at least help is on its way, and he's called Ash, so the cavalry is gathering. Hopefully they'll be in time....hang on, Sammy. Jules

Oh, Alicia's definitely a nutter..... If only she had stayed a few minutes more outside the room - but somehow I don't think that would have stopped her. And Bobby's right - Dean needs to get a hold of his anger, especially now that Alicia's kidnapped Sam - and stolen Bobby's tow truck - and Dean's stuck on the side of the road in a broken down Festiva. Alicia seemed to have thought of everything at this stage in her desperate attempt to get Sam away from his brother. But she doesn't know Dean, and his determination to keep his little brother safe......come on, Dean - hurry. Jules

Good ending, Glad that both the boys were better in the end and that Alica never got back to them. It was nice to read a recent story that didn't deal with the apocalypse, haven't seen the new season yet but kinda know through stories what happens in the last episode and don't much like it. They should always end up being together. Thanks...

Oh, gosh, Alicia is nutty as a fruitcake.....don't tell me she's going to try to spirit Sam away while Dean's not watching. Dean will freak. Poor Sam - he was so confused when Dean turned up in the room instead of answering his phone. Loved Dean's Kentucky Fried dead guy reference by the way. Great snark. The brothers really were drowning during that time, weren't they? And unable to reach out to each other, thanks to John's secret and their own respective guilt. This isn't going to go well, is it? Aww, Bobby, don't blame yourself - it was just a freak accident. Can imagine Dean's anger and intensity getting the hospital staff all on edge until he found his answers - Sam's alive and in the hospital. But ooh, this Alicia seems a bit freaky...is she one of the special kids, by any chance? I think Sam's right to have a funny feeling about her. And the way she could read his mind for that brief instant, coupled with what had happened to her grandmother - around the same time Sam had started having visions, perhaps? The plot thickens..... And I'm thinking Dean's not really going to be happy with her hanging around Sam - especially with that "meant to be together" mantra in her funny little brain. Trouble brewing - in more ways than one. Poor Sam's going to be in the thick of it.... Jules

That's just like Sam to push aside his own injuries and get as many people out as he could....but oh, gosh, my heart was in my mouth when he went back for the last person and the bus blew up! What's happened to Sammy? And Dean....oh, Dean. He's got to get that anger under control (yeah, right...). All day and most of the night fretting and fuming, and now, the horrible news. I'm not believing it's Sam - it's got to be a mistake. But what a hell of a wake-up call for Dean now, thinking that he's now lost his brother, too..... Awesome job with the tension and angst, by the way. Jules

I started reading this during my lunch break, and was very intrigued by where you're going to take this. It was one of the most turbulent times of the brothers' lives, the weeks immediately following John's death, and I love reading stories set in that time. Could understand Sam thinking he needs to get out from under for a while and give Dean some space - give himself some space too, actually. But it looks like trouble has found him even during a seemingly harmless bus ride. Something tells me that Dean's going to have to swallow that anger down deep before too much longer, because I don't think Sam's going to be in any condition to be whupped. I've skimmed the first chapter again, just to reorient myself to the story, and I'm looking forward to seeing where you're going to take this. Jules
