some believe that Chuck WAS Chuck until the final scenes.  Notice Chuck was in his bathrobe until the final scenes when he is now in a crisp white button down!  Was that when God appeared?  Had Chuck already ascended?  would explain the amulet.. or Cas was wrong about the amulet glowing.

 

Good story.. but I want our boys together.. tell me they will get back together.. some day!

Maybe Chuck's an angel? Someone else thought Sam might have become an archangel as well as kind of a... prize for sinking Lucifer.

I think now that Chuck was Kripke but I'm still not 100% sure!

Really liked this version of the season 5 finale. The bit about Dean trying to protect Lisa (even though it would have been futile if Sam was still Lucifer) is definitely Dean...as was giving up the Impala to signal that he'd accepted a 'normal, apple pie life'. I just love your view of how it should have happened! Remember how Castiel said the amulet didn't work? Perhaps he was correct and it just didn't work, afterall God can make it do whatever he wants it to do. Perhaps at the end, God uses Chuck as his vessel? I did want to cry last night at how sad it was for Dean at the end (and for Sammy, too). Your story made me cry more though, I should have known better not to read this at school! I think your assessment of Dean is right on. If he wasn't broken before, he sure is right now. I'm thinking the same thing as you, is it September yet (and I'm a school  teacher!!!)?
