Oh no!  I'm so sorry!  Moving is stressful, and I hate it a lot.  Do what you need to do, and take care of yourself, lady!

Scary part when they found the tree and we got a glimpse of what is hidden inside, you could feel how tainted this place is and I don't like the idea they have to go back there (even though I know they need to), great scene.

But it was their talk after this I loved the most here. When Sam (who was so wonderfully protective during their ride) finally cracked and let Dean see how scared he is for him and how deep his fear is to lose his brother was some intense moment ("I can't go through that again, Dean" Sam whispered, barely loud enough for Dean to hear.."Do you have any idea what that did to me?...I thought he'd taken you, Dean! I thought I'd lost my brother...That there would be no way in hell I could fix it this time...I can't do it again, Dean, I can't." Sam's voice broke slightly as he looked at his brother his large hazel eyes widen and honest and shiny with unshed tears. "I won't" WOW!) and then Dean's reaction, there couldn't possibly a better way to show these two mean everything to each other. I'm still smiling here, thank you!

As always enjoyed you little food scene and this jell-O dessert sure looks delicious. Cute pic of your dogs, Jack looks good after his surgery, glad everything went so well!

Author's Response:

I don't know if you've ever seen Sleepy Hollow, it is one of my favorite Johnny Depp movies, but when I watched it the first time and he noticed the blood coming out of the tree that made me sick to my stomach because I had a feeling of what was going to be in there. Since I'm actually having the killer copy what happened in the movie I figured why not go all the way...so I hope you enjoy what I have finished with chapter 6. Chapter 7 will be longer since chaper 6 is short.

I knew you would enjoy the brother's talk after the whole thing. You really like those moments, and I do too, which is why I put them into my stories so often. The bond between these brothers is so incredible, and it makes me sad how far they drifted apart in the later seasons, how they didn't trust each other and at some points didn't even have each others backs. I wanted to go back to when they'd do anything for each other, where the only thing they feared was loosing the other, and that was probably the strongest in season 2 when all they had left was each other. But I'm glad you enjoy those moments because as much fun as they are to write, they can also be hard. Action is easy but getting inside the brothers' heads can be hard, trying to figure out what they would be thinking in these kinds of situations. So I'm glad that for you they are something you enjoy so much.

Thanks as always for the review. It always makes it worth the time I put into the storys I write when my readers enjoy them so much.

What a cute pic of your dogs Candace, I'm glad that Jack is alright, you even give him and Priestly a cameo in your story, how sweet. Your  colorful Jello-O looked so good. I hope you're feeling better. That was a terrific chapter. Dean finally got over his fear of riding on a horse, way to go. Candace, go on with what you want to post, I can't wait to read.

Author's Response: Yep, Priestly and Jack have had a cameo in this story, they've been a big inspiration for me sometimes. They are quite the characters and make me laugh a lot. I don't know what I'd do without them. I'm glad that you enjoyed chapter 5, and I hope you enjoy what I've written so far with chapter 6. Chapter 7 will be a longer chapter since 6 is short, but I figured I'd get it up anyway. Thanks for the review.

Reviewer: Primrose (Signed) · Date: 15/06/10 01:54 PM · On: Chapter 5

I'm waiting to see if anybody tells you that jello isn't a side dish, it's a dessert.  My husband is from the East Coast, and he insists it's a dessert.  I'm from the West Coast, and as you know it's a salad.  Either way, the rainbow thing looks yummy, and I have a trifle bowl, so I'll have to try it very soon.

As far as the story goes, eww, bloody tree!  I want to see them go back and fix this!

Author's Response:

Some people do consider it a dessert I suppose. But like you said to us it's a salad, or side dish. Be sure to let me know what you think of the Jell-O when you try it I'm curious as to what you think.

As for the bloody tree...I did get around to that so I hope you enjoy it. Thank you for the review.

Hi, thanks a lot for the update, I'm amazed how you can find the time to post so faithfully with all that's been going on in RL. It's much appreciated! I'm looking forward to the action in the next chapter!

Author's Response: I'm glad that you enjoyed chapter five, I had a lot of fun with it. I hope that you enjoy what I have done with chapter 6 so far, chapter 7 will be an extended chapter since 6 is short. But I hope you enjoy it anyway. Thanks as always for reviewing.

Hope that Dean'll get better soon, him and Sam have a headless horseman to find .The plot thickens, so someone is controlling  Casey's head, but who could it be, can't wait to read more. Candace, sorry to hear about Jack, hope the surgery went well and he's getting better.

Author's Response:

Dean is definitely on the mend and is looking for a headless horseman he can drop kick. I'm trying to make this story as different as I can from the original I wrote because I've learned so much more about writing since then. And I hope that I can really surprise you with who is controlling the head. I'm so excited about it. :)

And Jack's surgery did go well, thank you. He's doing better now and his stitches come out next week so that's good. Thank you as always for the review.

Hi, thanks a lot for updating, even though you have lots of other things on your mind. I hope Jack's surgery went well.

Author's Response:

I'm glad that you enjoyed the last chapter. I honestly wasn't sure if I'd get this next one done in time my week has been so busy so I put fire on the fuel and really got down to work on it today so I could get it posted. I hope that you enjoy the next chapter as well.

And Jack's surgery did go well, thank you. He's doing better now and his stitches come out next week. Thank you for the review.

Hope you are aware how much I enjoyed ths chapter, it's a perfect brother one and I can't say it often enough - you have a wonderful and very rare gift to express what these two mean to each other, thanks for a very lovely insight!

I think for Sam it is important to be for a change the one who takes care of his brother and with Dean this hurt and vulnerable - can't shake the feeling the horseman will be after him now - it's going to be desperately needed.

Hope surgery goes well and Jack is better soon, keep my fingers crossed!!!

Author's Response:

I'm glad that you enjoyed the last chapter so much. I must say you really stunned me with your review - I don't even know how to respond to that. But you really touched me with it and it means a lot so thank you, I really appreciate that.

I know you have a feeling that the horseman will be going after Dean. I'm not going to say your wrong but I'm not going to say he is after Dean either. As I've already written this story once I've kind of referred to that version time and time again and with this one I've compltely changed the story so it is 100% different, so I'm not quite sure where it is heading as of this moment. I hope you enjoy the next one I put some brother moments in there for you :)

And Jack is doing better thanks, his surgery went well and his stitches come out next week. Thanks as always for the review.

Poor Dean just keeps getting smacked around!  I look forward to him being able to be the one doing the smacking!  Good luck with your dog!  Poor thing!

Author's Response:

I know I'm so mean to Dean making him get beaten up all the time. :) But he's on the mend and he's in the mood for some good butt kicking. Hope you enjoy the next chapter.

And Jack's doing better thanks. Surgery went well and his stitches come out in a week. Thanks for the review.

Reviewer: heather03nmg (Signed) · Date: 06/06/10 04:54 PM · On: Chapter 4

I love this story, it's so creepy. And Dean whumpage is love.

Hope your dog is ok.

Author's Response:

I'm glad that you are enjoying this story enough to stick with it. And I'm glad you're enjoying the Dean whumpage as you put it. I'm just can't help it I love it when Dean's injured and vulnerable...there is just something about it that make me want more so I keep adding to it. Not in this chapter but there will be more in the future I'm sure.

And Jack's surgery went fine thanks. He'll get his stitches out in a week so that makes me happy. Hope you enjoy this next chapter thanks for the review.

Reviewer: Oceane (Signed) · Date: 27/05/10 09:57 PM · On: Chapter 3

Lot of action in this chapter, I was at the edge of my seat while reading it. Poor Dean' he's in bad shape. What's going to happen next, can't wait to know.

Author's Response: I'm glad you're enjoying it - I've made it quite a bit different from the original, but I did that on purpose. Hope you enjoy the next chapter. Thanks as always for reading and reviewing!

Reviewer: Primrose (Signed) · Date: 22/05/10 06:53 AM · On: Chapter 3

Awesome!  I love the retelling of the horseman story!  This guy is much more evil!

Author's Response: I'm glad that you enjoyed the retelling of the horseman. I had so much fun with that, he is such a fun villian. Not too much action in the next chapter but the brothers need a bit of down time I think Thanks as always for reading and reviewing.

Reviewer: bia1007 (Signed) · Date: 20/05/10 02:31 PM · On: Chapter 3

Oh wow, you sure had a lot of action in this chapter, gripping and mysterious (and no, absolutely not too gory!), what a great update! Liked the horseman's background story, a lot of tragic in it. The dogs were such a nice addition, their little tricks made me smile (and I'm glad to hear your little one is better!). And I adored the way Sam and Dean care for each other here - Sam worrying about Dean's health and Dean so insistent to come with Sam to be able to protect him, this gives such a touching look on their bond. After the horseman's attack (poor Kari) and Dean now hurt even more the situation sharpens dramatically, wonder if the horseman now is after Dean too since he saved Angela. Can't wait for more, excellent chapter!

Author's Response:

Well, I did promise action when I posted this one. And I'm glad it isn't too gory - I'm just kind of worried about that, and probably will be until I finish it because the headless horseman is a pretty gory story if you stop to think about it. I'm glad you enjoyed the horseman's story though, that was fun to write - and so were the dogs. And don't know how I would have gotten through the chapter without Jack and Priestly they really were my muses that week.

The next chapter is going to be a little bit of a breather - but for good reasons, as you'll see but it has a lot of brotherly moments in there and I know you love those. So I hope you enjoy it - if I can ever get it done. I want to get it done by tonight hopefully. Jack has to go in for surgery Monday morning so I'll be gone all day so I want to get it posted tomorrow. Thanks as always for reading and reviewing.

Sounds like you've done the whole horse tending mucking out thing before.  Must be all that Riverton living.  Good chapter :)

Author's Response: Actually, to be honest I've never mucked out a stall. I've been horseback riding several times and used to take lessons. I love horses a lot and have learned a lot about them from books and movies as well as leasing a horse. But she was in a stall where I didn't need to muck it out because the ranch hands did that for us. So I basically looked up how to muck out and just wrote it in - but I guess I made it really accurate so that makes me happy. I'm glad you enjoyed chapter two. Thanks as always for reading and reviewing!

Reviewer: Primrose (Signed) · Date: 19/05/10 10:46 PM · On: Chapter 1

Mm...I love the idea of Sam being able to ride.....  Seriously, I'm getting caught up on my reading, and I love the start of this!  It might be exactly the kind of story I need!

Author's Response: I'm glad to see you Julie it's always nice to hear from you. I'm glad that you enjoyed the first chapter, and since I'm rewriting this one it's taking up all my writing time but I promise your request will be next. Thanks as always for reading and reviewing!

Amazing chapter, loved the BBQ scene! It made me hungry!
LOL that you've written your own dogs in a story!

Author's Response: I'm glad that you enjoyed the BBQ scene - I had a lot of fun with it and yeah two of my little squirts wormed their way into it. I just couldn't find what I needed to write that week and Jack and Priestly were being silly like they always are and that gave me what I needed to get back to work. They make me laugh. I hope you enjoy the next chapter. Thanks as always for reading and reviewing.

Reviewer: eeyore (Signed) · Date: 18/05/10 09:51 PM · On: Chapter 3

This chapter was really exciting.  It seems that maybe Dean's cut isn't just a regular cut?  I can't wait to see were you are going with the headless horseman.

Author's Response: I'm glad that you enjoyed the last chapter, and no Dean's cut isn't a regular wound, as you will soon see. I'm working really hard to get the chapter finished today (if I can stay awake) so I can get it posted since I'll be gone most of the day Monday as Jack has to go in for surgery. But I hope you continue to enjoy the horseman ride, I'm looking forward to working with this story. Thanks for taking the time to read and review.

Reviewer: heather03nmg (Signed) · Date: 18/05/10 04:43 PM · On: Chapter 3

Wow, I just love this story. Very action packed and suspenseful. And I didn't find it too gory at all. Well done. And extra thanks for the hurt Dean goodness.

Author's Response: I'm guessing that you are a hurt Dean addict, much like me. I'm a sucker for hurt Dean stories, and he often gets tossed around in my stories. I'm glad that you are still enjoying this one, and thanks for letting me know how you felt about the gore - I wasn't quite sure about it and I'm still a little weary about how far I'm going to go with the horseman right now, but I'm excited to work on it. Thanks for reading and for reviewing I hope you enjoy the next chapter.

Reviewer: Oceane (Signed) · Date: 14/05/10 09:25 PM · On: Chapter 2

Candace, glad you started a new story. It's great so far and intriguing, I'm looking forward to more.

Author's Response: Hey Hon, wasn't sure if I was going to hear from you on this one - since I wrote one version of it before. I'm trying to make it a bit different from the original as I've learned a lot about writing since I wrote that story. I'm glad you are enjoying it though and hope you continue to enjoy it. Thanks for the review.

Wonderful update! Wonder and worry what will happen when Sam and Dean try to save the girls from the evil they most likely started with watching the DVD (creepy and I think Sam is very right that it is cursed); Dean still isn't fully recovered yet and this is going to be a very dangerous situation for them. Loved Sam was so protective of his brother here, those moments showed so perfectly how much he cares about Dean - always adore how you write these two! And you absolutely have to continue, it's such an excellent story! But please take your time, your puppy needs you much more right now, hope he's better soon!

Author's Response:

Thanks Sabine. Priestly is fine now - he was sick all of Monday but he was fine Tuesday. Must have been something he ate I guess. Poor little guy. I wasn't quite sure about how the cursed DVD would pan out or how it would be accepted, but I'm trying to do something I haven't done before or isn't that common. I've never read anything like this and I want it to be as original as I can make it considering how common the horseman is.

I'm glad you enjoyed Sam being protective of his brother - we don't see much of those moments these days and they are part of the reason I fell in love with this show in the first place so I'm glad you enjoy these moments. I hope you are doing ok! Take care hon.

Reviewer: zuimar (Signed) · Date: 11/05/10 12:40 PM · On: Chapter 2

Mmmm, things are starting to heat up, right? It looks like Sam is on to something with the DVD. Can't wait to find out what's gonna happen next!

Author's Response: Things are definitely starting to heat up, as you will see in chapter 3. Unfortunately my code wouldn't come through when I posted it so you won't be able to see my code I had to make something up at the last minute so it is different then what I wanted it to be - but I hope you enjoy it anyway. I hope you continue to enjoy it and as always thanks for the review.

Reviewer: heather03nmg (Signed) · Date: 11/05/10 08:51 AM · On: Chapter 2

I love this story and I'm very intrigued. Great plot, lots of mystery and hurty goodness.

More please!

Author's Response: Thank you, Heather. I'm so glad you are enjoying this story. I will continue to write as long as you continue to enjoy it. Thank you so much for taking the time to review - they really do give me the motive to keep writing. It's readers like you that make me so eager to continue with my stories. Thanks again.

Reviewer: bia1007 (Signed) · Date: 08/05/10 02:05 PM · On: Chapter 1

This certainly is an intriguing beginning, fascinating, like the idea very much, especially with Dean so out of his element!! This is going to be very interesting. Looking forward to the next part!

Author's Response: I'm glad that you enjoyed the first chapter. I wasn't sure if I was going to continue on with it. It is taking up a lot of my time and I've had so many other things going on, but as long as someone's interested in it I'll keep working on it. I hope you continue to enjoy it, the action will begin next week...hopefully I will have the time to work on it. I've got a sick puppy right now and he's taking up a lot of my time and energy, so I'll have to see. But thank you again for the review - I appreciate it.

Reviewer: eeyore (Signed) · Date: 06/05/10 10:01 PM · On: Chapter 1

I can't wait for next Monday for the next chapter, I don't think I've ever read a spn story along this line before.  I hope Dean masters staying on the horse soon, it was funny (accompanied with a cringe) when he closed his eyes and fell off.

"Land in the Dirt Award" - is that something they really give to new riders who fall?  (I've never been on a horse so my knowledge of horses is pretty lame.)

Author's Response:

Thank you for the review, I hope you enjoy chapter 2. I've found it fun to put Dean in a situation where he is definitely out of his element, and I think the reason Dean hates going on planes or anything else that he can't control is because he isn't in control. Dean likes to feel like he has some control over a situation and driving is one of them. Hope you continue to enjoy it and thanks for the review - I was seriously debating just deleting it as no one seemed interested in it until you reviewed.

And yes at certain places there are Land in the Dirt Awards. I got one myself when the horse I was mounting took off on me, he turned sharply at the fence and I flew off. I was seriously winded and covered in dirt. I had injured my back and was very sore for two weeks, but after my fall, and after washing up and calming down I got on my horse. You have to get right back up or you never will. I still love to ride it is one of my greatest pleasures, except for being with my dogs and husband of course.
