I believe that you are right.

Author's Response: Thank you - I think it still holds true... :-)

Amen to that last line - he loves his family.

This was great, really enjoyed reading it. Thanks. Mary xx

Author's Response: Thanks Mary - and cheers for the stars too!

Nice job!  i could easily picture his despair making him run away.....but we know Dean would always go back for Sammy!

Author's Response: Thanks Terri - at first I was going to have him stay away for a while then as I wrote I realised he just wouldn't be able to desert Sam like that, even for a few days rest...

Absolutely wonderful take on this broken man.

The weight of destiny bowing him down, crushing the life out of him a little bit more each day. Angels acting worse than demons, telling him that his only option is to be destroyed.

Begging a God he's not sure he even believes in for help, because he's drowning and he can't find anything else to hold onto. He can't hold onto his brother, because Sam's drowning too.

The poem extract so perfectly fitted the depth of despair and defeat that Dean has reached.

*wipes tears from eyes*

Author's Response: Yet somehow I couldn't leave him on the floor - I really think he is stronger than he believes he is - bloodied, beaten but somehow indomitable...
