Wow! Incredible action. I wonder what everyone will think about Sam calling Drake 'brother'? will they take it literally or like 'brother man'? I'm zooming off to the next chapter to find out.

Yeah, I think Drake's friends will definitely think it's odd that Sam called Drake his brother. lol, my brothers call all their friends brother man, and I just love it as it is like they think of their friends as being so close that just saying "hey man" or whatever is not enough. Again I skipped the preview (would have read it if the next chapter wasn't already posted). Describing Drake's carefree attitude and all the friends he's surrounded by just about broke my heart. That could have been Dean's life if not for Azazel. I can sympathize with Sam, not wanting to take his brother away from that life yet knowing that Michael and Lucifer were still playing games with him. That's gotta suck! It really shows how selfless the love for his brother is.
Author's Response: lol, no worries about the previews as I put them in there because I was afraid people would be worries where the story was going and wouldn't give it a chance. I was really trying to go for what I believed Dean's life would be like friendwise if he hadn't been forced into a life of hunting, so hopefully I captured it to some extent. I really think if Sam thought Dean would be safe and happy, he would leave him be, because he really does love his brother every bit as much as Dean loves him. You've got me wishing I was one of those gawking women as Drake walks down the hall with his hospital gown open at the back lol So, Drake's brother died in Iraq? And it sent him off the deep end. Poor guy. He is very Deanlike in many ways, and yet... Oh and I really like the relationship between Drake and Bear, how Bear calls him little man. Well, that's it for me tonight! More reading tomorrow, can't wait to find out what happens next.

So, I'm inclined to agree with Drake on the peanut M&Ms! Will have to remember that next time my friends give me a hard time about my junk food addiction. lol The fire scene was way intense I was biting my thumb the whole time. Gotta say my thumb has looked better. Glad you got them out of there in one piece. Poor Sam is kinda torn what with Dean's soul finally having a chance at a happy life. Great stuff! Off to the next chapter! I'm a bit of a slow reader

Wow, talking about evil cliffies! Great chapter, I loved getting an idea of what Drake has gone through at the psychiatric hospital.

This is getting quite gut wrenching now, with Sam having to face this innocent version of Dean who isn't his brother but is too much like him not to be. You are really doing a good job on Drake's background too, so we can now see more of the pain he's felt.
