Cool piece! It's a little sad that Sam reaches for Dean instead of his dad. Even more sad that it's one of the big firsts without Mary. Where did you find John Winchester's journal?
Author's Response: I found the journal at my local Books a Million but you can get it online at Amazon. It's pretty cool.

So very sad. My poor heart breaks for Sammy. He's truly alone for the first time in his life. Even when he was at Stanford, he knew that Dean was only a phone call away. "Dean," Sam whimpered. "How am I supposed to do this without you?" That really got to me. I could see the pain and sadness on his fevered face. Poor Sammy, I'll take care of him.
Author's Response: I wish we'd seen more of Sam's time alone onscreen but it probably would have broken our hearts into tiny pieces. :(

Awww, how terribly sad. I think it's worse for Sam that Dean doesn't trust him than it is not to trust himself. People always doubt themselves but to lose the one person who's always been in your corner has got to hurt!

I'm glad you gave Sammy a voice for this scene. He really seemed uncomfortable,as if it was painful to watch the interactions of his brother and mother over the PB&J. "Just one glance, please. I'm your son too." So sad!!

I'm pretty sure that Dean's became the father when he were only four! And that most of the times he was more tired than John! Anyway, I loved it (I tend to love Wee!chester in practically an any form :-) ) Dany
Author's Response: Totally agree with you on that one, Dany. Dean became a father at a very early age. I wanted to show the completer trust that Dean has always had for his father with this one, how he always did what his father said. As I told someone else, I was on a real Wee!chester kick for awhile and I think I may go back and try to write a longer story. Most of my Wee!chester fics have been drabbles.
