It makes my heart ache that their lives really haunt Dean so much and Sam's guilt is eating him up but Sam doesn't know it. At the same time I understand that Dean needs his masks. Sam's line about how he knows Dean better than anyone but sometimes Dean is like a stranger to him makes me sad. I love Dean's answer at that: "I'm always me, Sam." It makes me think that despite all the different roles Dean plays, he isn't actually pretending anything 'cause all those roles are just different sides of his character. I love your insight that Dean wears his masks to protect both himself and his brother. Awesome job! Even though this nearly broke my heart and got me thinking, this was funny too. I grinned at the mouse hunting and especially at Sam's line "You're such a slut, man." This was also beautifully written.

I swear you could tag the commercials inbetween and they would be brilliant!! I loved this mixed bag of assorted emotions. There we had the angst and fear and some lovely brotherly caring deeply dooing, a mouse (haha) slutty Dean - bring him on - and a rocking and rolling trailer. My mind just went back to the eppy, great way to explain that, big smirk on my face. Dean does love his food but he loves his Bro more and how much did that show in this tag and all done with a dash of humour. Jane :)

HAH! I LOVE THIS!!!!!! Hollywood Babylon was a great episode, but THIS!!!! Omigosh...so funny...a mouse...it was a mouse...wow. Great take on that!!! Banter, angst, brotherly deception and Dean as a man-whore...it's all there...bring on the exclamation marks...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh how I wish that Sam could see that his guilt and pain IS eating Dean up. He mightn't be able to do much about it, but at least then they could worry together! And I'm glad Dean didn't...um.... you know.... with Tara. I'm totally going with your version of that ending. Besides, I'm with Sam....her eyes weirded me out too! Stupid Tara! No sane woman would be looking for a mouse if she had Dean doing that to her, I'm sure... Loved the spin you put on Dean's actions in Hollywood Babylon - and that all wasn't as it appeared with him, much like the movie business!

I like that you dealt with a least some of the aftermath of the Madison storyline in a way that the show chose not to. This was an interesting twist on what had that trailer a-rockin'! "Dean Winchester, Demon Slayer and Mouse Hunter Extraordinaire!" And thank you for acknowledging the freaky eyes on that Tara chick - they creeped me out, too. I fully expected her to be some sort of alien creature or something when she first came on the screen! This was a fun tag but also delved into how much work it is to be Strong Dean all the time. That mask must get pretty heavy, huh?

Mmm...catching a mouse was he...and here I totally thought it was hot sex! Well Dean is the master of hiding his own feelings until they threaten to overwhelm him. You've illustrated that point very well here! Also, had to chuckle at Sam's comment about Tara's eyes weirding him out...I felt the same way ;-)

Ooooh, ouch, ouch, ouch... But! GSfic! ::bounces around madly:: Read this one before breakfast :D This is certainly a different take on the humour in that episode and looks at Dean's actions in the ep a way I hadn't considered before. I repeat myself...ouch. I think you're right. At the end of heart, both brothers' hearts were broken, if for slightly different reasons and you've illustrated Dean's side of the story really well here. Also there is so much reason here why Dean lives his life as a lie. And it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the law. Excellent writing as usual and I am so envious on your word count ::musses up your hair:: You've written 15,000 words since we last spoke!
