Short but 'sweet'!  I would love to have read about the hunt that got Dean into his dire situation - perhaps another time, or, in another of your fics!  Keep up the great work!

Really good - love the descriptions, they put me right in the moment. I could almost feel the hag's ice-cold hands. 

And I loved that thought of Dean's - 'Sam's been here for what? Five minutes? And he's already pissed her off.'

Nice to see the tables turned, and Sam doing the rescuing for once. Could really picture him standing defiantly in the middle of the clearing, and also his defeat when she started torturing Dean in earnest. 

But as Dean thought, she really didn't know the Winchester brothers. 

Thank you for sharing. It was a great read.

Thank you, Jules.  I don't think we see enough of protective Sam and it's pretty certain that if Dean would do it for Sam, Sam would do it for Dean!  Those boys are full of self sacrifice when it comes to each other and it's a foolish person (or hag) who tries to come between them.

Hmm  - a full story?  I did that once before from a one shot and it turned into a bit of an epic.  But you never know.  There's always an idea nesting at the back of my head!

Always love some hurt!Dean!  I like that Sammy came to Dean's rescue this time.  Great descriptions of the scene.  You did a good job building suspense about Dean's peril in a short story.  I liked it!

Thank you.  My mantra is that if Dean would do it for Sam, then you can bet Sam would do it for Dean.  We just don't get to that often enough.
