Oh...
Things I loved: The first paragraph and the detailed description of gore. The metaphores and the changes in tempus. The changes in perspective and the plot. The finality of it all and at the same time the hope. The sorrow of both brothers dying. Sorrow of Sam descending into hell like his brother before him. The joy of their victorious and rightious anger. The hope that as Dean, Sam might one day escape hell. The hope that they might not just end like Sam so desperately wanted. The end seems so final, right?
I didn't find this final.
Wonderful. Very beautiful. It really touched me. And if I may take a guess at the inspiration for this? Holiday depression like moi?
Author's Response: Thank you so much!!
Well... quite honestly, I started writing Lucifer going all contemplative on Sam and planned to finish it there. The next day - last day of classes before the holidays - I wrote "Dean was dead" in great big letters above my pathology notes, "Sam was dead" in the next page, and decided, "I must have a story in between!"
The more I wrote, however, I realised that this couldn't be just a deathfic. I've always believed that the brothers, even when forced to play the roles they don't want to, will find a way to beat the evil forces at their own game.
Again, thanks so much for the review - I'm glad you enjoyed it!
