Reviewer: Pandora Jazz (Signed) · Date: 29/12/09 02:09 AM · On: Dear Santa,

I was looking for Christmas stories to read and stopped by to read yours again.

You did such a good job writing John and capturing his emotions.

Thanks for sharing your story with us. Hope to see another one from you soon.

Take care.

Author's Response:

Hey, Lori!  Thanks for reviewing again.  Seems I missed the window for Christmas stories with this one, posted it a bit late for most.

I have a Secret Samta story, a tag for Heart, that I've started, just need some time off work to really delve into it.  Hope to get it done soon.

I'd forgotten how much I love writing John.  I especially love picturing him with Mary and his kids, revisiting how much he loved his family and how much they all lost.

Enjoy the New Year, we'll talk.

Later, B.J.

This was a beautifuly written story, i enjoyed it very much, although it was very sad.

Author's Response:

Thank you!  John's life is so sad.  I love picturing his joyful life with Mary, his anticipation of raising his sons.  So much love and that picture-perfect life and then all was lost.

Such a tragedy, but the one good thing that can come out of all of this is Sam and Dean's closeness.  They have to recapture that, be the loving and supportive brothers they have always been.  It is the only thing John would have had left.

Enjoy the holidays and take care, B.J.

I liked the whole concept of John writing letters to Santa over the years.  You did a phenomenal job showing how hopeful John was before Mary's death and how much his outlook changed after her death.  I loved your word choice throughout this story.  This was a very heartfelt, well executed story.  Definitely one of my favorites for this Christmas challenge.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for such a lovely review.  I love writing John, such a tragic turn to his life.  I love exploring his love for Mary and the joy he must have felt when his sons were born.

All these Winchesters are so very complicated, but love and family are always at their core.

I hope you had a great holiday.  Enjoy the New Year and take care, B.J.
