That was fantastic!  The wonderfully gritty description of vulnerable hurt!Dean from an outsider's POV made this Dean girl wanna scream, "Help him!   Take care of him!  He's an important and special guy!"  Then that glimmer of hope that you provided in the form of a Stanford phone #....like a lifeline for the reader, along with Dean.  All made for a great story!! Thanks for the Christmas tale/treat.

What a wonderful story.

So complete from Eddy's point of view, but so incomplete from mine. I want to know for certain when Dean wakes up and what really went wrong for him to end up in ER in the first place. And I want to see Sammy and Dean walking out of the hospital having stopped by the ER to thank Eddy first. 

But I don't imagine Santa will bring me that Christmas wish, just like Dean didn't miraculously wake up on Christmas Eve.

great story...loved how it was from the nurse's POV...Nice to see Sammy caring for his brother during the stanford years...
