I like being a hero! GREAT story! I never would have imagined a Kaleidoscope as an item Dean would keep. And yet, it works, doesn't it? VERY nice.
Author's Response: I'm glad you think it works. I was always fascinated by kaleidoscropes as a child (in fact I resurrected my favorite one in this story). It seemed like something from a different world, all those colors and glittering options, especially when thrown against the Winchester world. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you

I got lost in the moment when Dean feels the grass under his feet again. To be able to read that part, right when I know how cruel it is to see it over again and yet know it's separated by years and deaths... Well, there we go. No words. Everyone who's lost someone, especially their own mam, has probably done this at least once a year since. I know I have. Beautifully written. Sad but noble. :)
