Could picture Sam's confusion and that wonderful deer in the headlights look that he gets, while Dean was apologising. And could well imagine that spike of fear from Dean when the first words out of Sam's mouth were about hell and Lucifer.

And you ended it on a high note - nothing really resolved, but the Winchester way of dealing: bury it deep and don't talk about it. Poor Bobby - he's really got his hands full with those two - lol.

I'm a Pollyanna too - I always look for a happy ending.

Author's Response: Yes it's always the winchester way to bury it deep down and change the subject. I always prefer to end it on a high note as my humorous side gets the better of me. Glad you liked it. ~Thanx Charity

So sad that Dean's grief has sent him into the same behaviour patterns that he showed after John's death. And with the added danger of Sam's increasingly fragile state of mind and the threat of his being coerced by Lucifer into giving in, no wonder Sam has wrecked himself by sitting out in the sun all day until he passed out with severe heatstroke.

Rocky times ahead for both brothers. Bobby's going to need a little more of that wonderful tough love of his.

Author's Response: Yes rocky times ahead and I could see a possible allusion written all over this episode. So i hope you noticed the whole allusion throughout. ~Thanx Charity
