Oh, gosh, despite the sad undertones to it all with the apocalypse and destiny heavy on their shoulders, and on Bobby's, I couldn't stop grinning all the way through. I could hear his voice in my head saying all that - lol.

Great job, Julie. Really enjoyed it.

Jules

Author's Response: I could too!  It surprised me how much I could hear Bobby while I wrote this!  I love Bobby!  Thank you!

I enjoyed reading your story.  You did a great job capturing Bobby's voice and all of his frustration.

Thanks for sharing your story with us.

Author's Response: Thank you!  I'm glad you came by and read it!

Poor Bobby!  He's desperate enough to do something he thinks is stupid and ends up only feeling worse for his effort.  His bitterness and anger come through loud and clear in quaint phrases that only Bobby Singer can string together.  Beautifully written!

Author's Response: Thank you!  Sometimes I'll do things I wouldn't normally do on the off chance it *might* work too.

You have captured the wonderful caustic, loving, pragmatic, acerbic Bobby here to perfection. Nice one and Happy Christmas. bird xx

Author's Response: Birdie, thank you!  I love Bobby, especially this season.  I'm glad you liked it.

You really did an excellent job on this Letter from Santa.  As I read this letter, I could actually picture Bobby writing these words.

Author's Response: Thank you!  I could picture it too.

aw...

Lovely letter hunny, heartbreaking and so like Bobby. Heh, cussing Santa. And all those wishes...

I feel compelled to write a letter to Santa myself now too. I could copy Bobby's and leave out the swearwords. After all, if you believe in him, it might be wise not to anger him. Just to be... you know... a good girl.

Well, there. That right there is the exact reason why I should probably step back from writing a letter. And why I never got the things I wanted most. I have never been a good girl. I couldn't count on him granting my wishes.

Lovely entry and a feature! Well done, my friend!

Hugs, Ilka

Author's Response:

Yeah...the swear words....I try really hard not to swear in real life, so I have to admit I balked at writing them.  But if I left them out, it wouldn't be Bobby, and it would sound wrong.  Now I'M on the naughty list... :)

I am so glad that it sounded like Bobby to you.  I've thought about him a lot, and this idea hit me strong when the challenge came up.  I'm so glad that it worked!  Thank you!

Holy crap Julie, I literally just got done chatting with Ilka telling her how I hoped someone would write a letter from Bobby's POV-  well okay- I actually said Wee!Bobby- but okay- this is close enough.

First- you wrote this like you must know someone in a wheelchair... the things Bobby asked for seemed sooo point on. Very nice..

And I just loved the tinge of bitterness and the Bobby "bite" in the tone. You captured him so perfectly it was like he was reading this aloud.

Then - you just wrapped it up with such angsty wonderfulness by his request for Sam and Dean to "Cut them a break"... it was just sooo sincere...

So- Merry Christmas...and let me be the first to wrap a nice big "Featured" bow on this one- I think I need to go choke down some spiked eggnog myself to swallow the lump in my throat!

Author's Response:

*blinks*  I got a featured story?!?  THANK YOU!!!!  It has been an awful day, and this made it wonderful again.

I don't actually know anybody who is wheelchair bound, but I majored in special education, and spent a lot of time in college volunteering in various facilities for disabled children, and talking with Occupational Therapists.  I've thought a lot about Bobby and what he's gone through this season, and quickly realized that just dropping him off at home with a wheelchair was only the tip of the iceberg when it came to challenges.  It's why this story came together so easily.

I am so glad you liked it!  Thank you so much for your review!

My God but that was quick! I love this just as much as I love Bobby and  that's a WHOLE lot.

I can see him sitting at that desk in front of the fire writing this, reading it back and the balling up and throwing it over his shoulder straight in the flames, direct hit without even looking.

And if he could be given anything for Xmas then I know these would be what he wished for.

Nice and good! :) Mary xx

Author's Response: I'm frankly surprised it came together so fast too...it practically wrote itself.  I've thought a lot about Bobby this season and what he was going through.  I'm glad it worked!  Thank you so much!
