This was very good and made me cry. I think you have done a good job capturing Dean and something he may actually do.

This is beutiful in its own sad way, Mary. I've long wondered what it would take to drive Dean to a fatigued breaking point- and while I'm not sure the events of 5:10 would do it... (I'm not sure if anything post The End would) I love what you've done with this. I think we've certainly seen the guy come dangerously close to this point... Croatoan ring a bell??? And who knows... I think that if he thought there was no other way- he'd do this short of either of them becoming the dreaded "vessels". Well done ma'am! - even for a death!fic - heehee!
Author's Response: Hey Tree Thank you. It was one of those moments, I was watching the episode and then Dean 'killed' Lucifer and they were both so happy and then he got up. Dean's game plan is to kill the SOB, but I felt that the Colt failing to do so would be enough to start the chain reaction inside Dean. If he believes he can't kill the Devil and he believes (which I think he does) that Sam will say yes, then what option does that leave him? Brought me to this. As you said, if he thought that there was no other way....they aren't getting him or his brother. Glad you liked and thank you for the review, Mary xx

Author's Response: Hey Dany I freely admit that I am insane! It's the only way to get through life! Muse was sitting there going...what the...? This was all me. It was the Colt the pushed me to it...without it how does Dean kill the Devil??? If he can't kill him then there is only one other way to stop him claiming his vessel and this was it for me. Thanks for the review, I was worried about this one, it's very dark. I'll have a word with Mr K and warn him that you're gonna hunt us both down if it goes this way! lol Mary xx
