This now is desperate and dark beyond belief but still I'm in awe of Sam who even when everything seems lost and his brother is dead tries to fight. For me he gives a wonderful proof the secret of love is greater than the secret of death. Brilliant!

You always manage to amaze me with your chapters, what an incredible atmosphere here, there are once again scenes I won't forget like this one:
"In this corner at 6 feet even...and wearing Dean Winchester...Saint Michael the Archangel, prince of light, the Viceroy of Heaven, the angel of mercy. And in the opposite corner...and wearing Sam Winchester...Lucifer, the prince of darkness, the Morning Star, the fallen angel."
Breathtaking, overwhelming images!
Have to admit I don't like Michael too much and hope there is still enough of Dean and his love for Sam left inside the archangel to make him understand Sam sacrified himself for his brother.
Can't wait for the finale!

Excellent but also a very dark and desperate chapter. The church scene was fantastic, apocalyptic in the true sense of the word. Michael wearing the weary soldier when he spoke with Dean and the similarities between the brother pairs a painful image but I still hope it will be different for Sam and Dean in the end, that Dean will realize why Sam said yes and the "I keep holding onto you" will prove true!

Sam's final step was an incredibly hard and brave on and I more than admire what he has done, sacrificing himself for his brother and the world and being fully aware he will be remembered as the one who surrendered to evil but actually he is the one who started salvation the very moment he said yes. I only wish Dean will understand. What a chapter, grand!

John's dying words to Dean, to kill Sam if he couldn't save him, now appear in a different light - it also is a last gift to Sam, the ultimate one and I believe Sam is much more aware of this than Dean. Amazing how you write this!

"I'd give myself to the devil to save my brother." Stunning, really I'm a bit out of words here. To love someone so much you will betray him to finally save him, I don't think there is a greater sacrifice. Brilliant!

Fantastic!!! This here has such powerful images, is dark and haunting, marvellously written; I already love it to pieces and the style reminds me of La Mano de Dios which is as you know one of my all time favorites! And as sad and desperate the situation is for our boys, pretty hopeless in fact, they are together, side by side and this is what counts in the end!

Outstanding, as excellent as your stories are. You perfectly catch the essence of Dean's and Sam's bond with it - "But I have not left your side". If it has to end, I hope it will be exactly like this. THANK YOU!

Author's Response: I've seen two SN vids using this song and both deal with Castiel and Dean. When I first heard it I thought only of Sam and Dean and their special bond. As I work on this story, I only hope I can do the haunting words of this song and Supernatural justice.
