This tells such a cool story, in a heartwarming way. I really like the different descriptions of the body-heat generated "warmth" - Sam's whimsical and child-like 'giant teddy bear' and Dean's practical, adult 'full-length heating pad.' Also loved sneaky!Sam knowing exactly how to get around Dean's defenses to get Dean the body warmth he needed. The end just waxes poetic, too. Sue

I liked the way you pulled us into the story even though it was after the actual event, pointers at what had happend and gave hints as to why Dean was the way he was, its all we needed. Sam doing what he needed to do with out Dean noticing was nicely done, congrats on the 12months, I celebrated too when I got to mine. The banner is good, a lot better than my first one...lol Jacq x

Love Sneaky Sammy - LOL. And love the contrast between them - Sam in stealth-mother-hen mode, and Dean so addled and concentrating all his energy on replying to the implied slur against his shooting skills that he thought the blankets and hot water bottles were doing the trick. And the final moment was a little awwwww, as Dean finally dropped off to sleep - Sam's own personal giant teddy bear - ROFL. Sam's fear came across really well at the end, and loved the visual and mental image of the relief feeling like coming spring when Dean opened his eyes. Oh - you didn't have to thank me, hun. It was my pleasure to offer. I have some notes, and it's possibly going to be three chapters. I'll send you the draft before I ship it to my beta to make sure I'm on the right track for what you want. And happy first anniversary. Or should that be happy first birthday? Happy first, anyway! *hugs* Banner's cute, too. Geez, a whole year since Parenting Your Gifted Child. And what a story to start off with. You can be proud as punch of that one - that was an awesome fic that loses none of its impact whether you've read it once, a dozen or a hundred times. Jules

As you know I have already read your story on another site, but I had to say thanks again for the smile! I love how you wrote Sam, the way he distracted Dean with insults about his brothers shooting, especially when we all know how well Dean can shoot, just so Sam could help get his brother fight off the hypothermia. Thanks again for sharing your stories with us and also congratulations on your anniversary. Until next time, take care.

Congratulations on your anniversary! It's been a good year! This story hits all the right chords. Poor hurt Dean, nice comforting Sam, and I hate being cold, so I feel for the both of them. I loved Sam sneaking close enough to get him warm, and Dean not paying attention. That was a nice detail. The other weird detail that I noticed was the phrase "hitting the broad side of a barn" That was SO my grandmother. She was from Louisiana and Oklahoma and used phrases like that. The boys are from Kansas, it's natural to see that phrase thrown in there.
