That was a really lovely tag. I saw the surprise on Sam's face during that episode when Dean revealed he'd been the one to carry baby Sammy from the fire, and I realised right then that the bond between the brothers was so much more than just siblings. I think that Dean became a parent at four years old - parent to Sammy. Whether it be mother, father or a combination of both, he never actually put that baby back down, so to speak.

I'm also, while a Dean woman through and through, not one of these who thinks that Sam is selfish, self-centred or not worth the time and effort that Dean puts in. I love Sam, and I understand a lot of what drives him. And I have no doubt whatsoever that he loves his brother just as fiercely as Dean loves him. So it was lovely to see a little peek into Sam's thoughts and feelings, and his new-found maturity in seeing his big brother in a different light after his time away at college.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I particularly loved the almost stealthy way that Sam eased the comforter over a sleeping Dean, being so careful not to disturb his slumber. Or be caught out in a slightly chick-flicky moment - LOL.
