This makes me think of the time my ex-husband passed a stone.  He was so hateful he scared all the doctors away.  I can imagine that it would hurt a lot though.

Great job with the hurt!Dean and comforting!Sam.

Very good!  Funny and exactly the way the boys would respond to one another.  The only problem: it was too short.  I could have read lots more!

Author's Response:

Hey there! Thanks so much for coming over to check out my new story, I really appreciate it. I'm thrilled you liked it so much!

Yeah, it was kinda short, huh? It was done for a drabble challenge, though, so it was actually twice as long as it was supposed to be, LOL.

If you're looking for a longer story with lots of nice brotherly moments, check out my story "Thanksgiving, Winchester Style or, The Importance of Pie." It's actually a series of one-shots around a common theme, with a little bit of everything in there--action/adventure, hurt/comfort, humor, family drama, angst, you name it--but mostly a TON of brotherly moments. If you check it out, I'd love to hear what you think! :)

Thanks again for taking the time to read and review!

Just in case - lol. Sam's a good boy scout, always being prepared.

That line about Sam babbling made me chortle out loud - I could just see him frantically scratching about for something - anything - to say to take Dean's mind off the pain. Well, it was a combination of that clear mental picture of Sam, followed by a look to kill from Dean - LOL.

Ouch, kidney stone - *shudders*....torture.

Poor Dean.

Author's Response:

Hey there! Thanks for taking the time to come over and check this story out. I appreciate the feedback! :)

I'm glad the mental image of a babbling Sam trying to take Dean's mind off the pain, and Dean's look, made you laugh. They did me, too. LOL I'm glad it came through.

And yeah--kidney stones ARE torture. *pats Dean sympathetically*

Thanks for taking the time to read and review! It always brightens my day! :)

Ow! Had a freind who collapsed with this at college, poor Dean, he really needs a better diet.  Good use of the chosen word and your challenge.

ow ow Ow OW!  So NOT a good thing!  I have a friend who gets these chronically (stupid boy needs to drink water instead of soda) and it's not pretty.  Well done!
