At first, I had a difficult time picturing Dean as a writer, but at the line 'the pen makes me their god,' I accepted Dean-as-a-writer instead of Dean-as-a-Hunter. Also, I agree with your statement that people can be worse than monsters sometimes (there is a song by Voltaire that has the same moral).

Hey Rose.

Umm, like it a lot. it's a very different arc and I don't normally go for very AU but this has a nice resonance of the characters. I like the tension between the brothers and am intrigued to watch Dean as a writer.

Hmm. Thought I responded to your review... guess I didnt. Sorry!

Im glad you think the characters are still pretty much themselves. Originally the angle was going to be Sam as a lawyer defending Dad, but Dean has a much bigger emotional connection to the story, so I went with him instead. Besides, I like Dean as a writer.
