I've come to expect angel double crosses- look at Uriel, and Zachariah, but Michael should have kept his word to Dean- it terms of the way Dean would expect him to.EXCELLECT  storytelling!!!.

This is just fulfilling John's prophecy- if you cant'save him , you will have to kill him

Thanks so much for the wonderful compliment- yeah, the point of the story is to make the reader go 'what? that's not taking care of someone!'- but in Michael's defense- for him it was taking care of Sam and keeping him safe for Dean.

I wrote a sequel to this- 'In the End' which shows Dean's pov in the aftermarth...

Ooookay....no more pizza just before bedtime if this is how it messes with your dreams.

Oh, gosh - I could just hear that scream of protest from Dean as Michael snapped Sam's neck. Good God....that was so sudden - and cold. 

I mean, I can understand his reasoning to a point, but man.....oh, gosh....

Think I need a little drink....

One thing though - I'm glad that Sam's spirit went up - after all he's been through, and been put through by both angels and demons, he deserves at least that much.

Actually, Dean was blissfully unware of what was happening to Sam...but yeah, he would be protesting ALOT! And as we know our Dean- no arch angel is safe if Sam gets hurt!

Yes, it was cold and inhuman but I doubt that the arch angels are very understanding and to Michael it was really was the only way to fulfil Dean's wishes and to keep Lucifer from using Sam.

I agree! I so want them to live at the end of all this- but if Kripke has other ideas- I want both of them to be in heaven together!

Well your angels are not soft gentle creatures are they? But then why would they be they were God's warriors.

Might be an idea to pop a deathfic warning on the story hun.

Thanks for the advice- I'm still trying to navigate the site...and it took me a few tries to post the fic.

 No, I definitely don't see the angels as soft gentle creatures- especially the arch angels. Although, I think that even though Michael is inhuman and just doesn't understand- he was trying to do the right thing in his mind.

Very good! I was not expecting the neck snapping, and I think that the emotion is really good, especially considering the short length. Bravo!

I thought about trying to expand it to include why/how the boys ended up being captured and Dean making up his mind to give his consent to Michael. Then I thought that the whole point of the story is the fact that Michael does snap Sam's neck in order to really save him for Dean's sake.
