"Why not just write we got nothin’?” Beginning this chapter with Dean's favorite mantra for summing up local police work was a great jump start! Ruby is my favorite hater elevator. Man, who didn't know she was going to stab the boys in the back?! Just reading her interaction with Sam makes my blood boil. Poor Sam, how could he be so gullible once Dean was back? So, Ilyas...he seems oily and evil. He's quick to stake his ground and strike out at Dean. Can't wait to read more of him (especially the part where he gets sent back to Hell!).

Wow! A most excruciating torture! I can't imagine the pain involved. Either you're very creative or have medical knowlege (or both). "Shaking, shuddering with horror, he couldn’t stop his body’s reaction to the dream as he gagged, his body continuing to expel what couldn’t be emptied – his memories." Very emotioanally powerful! Describing Dean's mightmare and his reaction to it engaged not only all the senses but a myriad of emotions. Castiel giving Dean pleasant dreams was very touching. At times he seems bewildered about his charge and confused about the best way to fulfill his duties. This shows the compassion that anyone who serves another feels toward their suffering. It was a very redeeming and touching gesture. Yay Bobby! I love a story with Bobby in it! He really brings out an unique dynamic to the Winchesters.

You continue to write the boys interactions with spot on accuracy! I'm in awe of your gift! The way they tease one another, brood, argue and tempt fate is classic Winchester. “Good luck?” Dean murmured to Sam. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
Sam shrugged. “With our luck, nothing good.” You had me laughing in my chair. I could hear the inflections in their voices and picture their sardonic expressions. You also had the quick-thinking-on- -their-feet mannerisms and facial quirks. This story is a pleasure to read! I so can feel the comeraderie, the tension, the fear and uncertainty that the brothers feel. Excellent!

Yeah, really liked this one. Loved Dean getting his own back on Ilyas, the creep! Still want to murder Ruby! Loved the 'what's life without a few risks' - should be Dean's motto! A great, great chapter, can't wait for more! Mary x

Oh, destroying a city is bad. This is a bad seal. I'm suddenly glad they don't know the last sacrifice. I really liked the idea of demon atheists. THAT was funny. I also think that you are doing a great job with Ruby. I really love hating her. Thank you!

Author's Response: Don't you hate the scheming witch? lol I never trusted her. I always wondered how she got Sam to trust her so much he would turn on Dean. I can only surmise, since we didn't see all that much of her wheedling Sam, that it would be a series of slightly disparaging remarks about Dean and flattery toward Sam, making him feel like he was the only one who could do this thing. Sam is so much into destiny, I thought that would work. Sorry to drone on! Thanks for reading.

Its so hard to read this story and not shout "SAM! - Dont trust Ruby- she's a lying viscious SKANK!" lol... but I just soooo love how she's still so misleading him- even as the town is crumbling around them- apocalyptic in its own right... its just soooo chilling. I find myself hanging on every word.... suspense oozing.... another seal hanging in the balance.... Ilyas threatening... wow--- this is just great!

Briliant! You have a gift for portraying the boys exactly as Kripke does! The arguments betweeen Dean and Sam end just as unpredictably as they do on the show. Just when you think someone is going to blow their top they back down. Dean's advance-retreat demeanor is perfect! I felt like I was watching an actual episode. “A demonically tarnished version of Pleasantville.” Hilarious! Mmmm....pie. Dean had better eat that. Peach is my favorite. I like that you take a stereotype and break it out of the mold. Great job!

I just got caught up on the story, and I have to say this is good! You have an interesting case the boys are working on, scary bad guys, nice angst, and you've got the strained relationship with the boys at that point in the series down just right. Hooray! Thank you.
