OMG that fight with the zombies was so exciting! What a way for Dean to get his first taste at fighting the supernatural. So, the zombies are tracking John, why? And where does the witch figure in all this? Is she sicking the zombies on John? Can't wait for more.

A note like that just fills me with joy. And impatience... Love Dean defending his actions to keep Sam warm (and the image of a little head and a pair of feet sticking out of either end of the parka... heehee. Awesomeness!) And Dt. Frost? still with the 'h' and 'a' keys here!

Holy freaking CRAP!!!! I'm kind of speechless right now. This story is just so damned creepy! Poor little Sammy and Dean, being twice traumatized by zombies. Are the zombies after the kids or something? Or are they just after John and anything else that's around. Good gosh this story is just so gripping! I can't believe you've been sitting on this since March! More soon, I hope?

Oooh, that's a shivery first chapter! Love the zombies and poor Dean, terrified and trying so hard to keep it together for Sam. Then the line - "Dad's here. I'm here. You're here. We're good." The mantra he'll come to live his life by, so innocent here.
"'Tired,' Sam nodded energetically" - heehee, that seems so very Sammy like. All mixed up, poor John never stood a chance! And then the present - Dean knows something's going on, which is a lovely role reversal! I can't wait to find out if he's right or not...

Zombies and witches in one story excellent. Two of my favourite types of supernatural beings, possibly because I've been called a witch on occaision and I've felt like a zombie some mornings! Great start.
