Oh, I liked this, nice bit of misdirection. It certainly sounded like they were watching a group of children, having fun with their friends, and then ta-da! it's only fish.

Aww- yes! So sad, knowing what we know. And yet (unsurprisingly!) so funny! Diffident eight year old Dean, Sammy all agog and wide-eyed curiosity - such a great way to paint the contrast of what their lives did to them. Great!

Started serious, 'Always on the outside, looking in', they sound a little lost.
But then Funeee! You had me there, right up to nearly the end, fish tanks ha ha (sorry aquarium!) lol. Very good, cheered me up no end. Nice one.
