The image of Dean comforting his father is so bittersweet. Nice idea to do one from Lucifer's POV, too. Good job on this!
Author's Response: Thanks again!! I had to have Dean comfort him,I just had the image in my head so I had to fit it in their. And I'll jump at any chance to write Lucifer, lol. Thanks again!

Mary's death Lucifer's opening act! I definitely like the tie-ins you've created by making every Winchester necessary to Lucy's escape. Well done, it has been a great read. Saddle x
Author's Response: Thank you! I am so glad you enjoyed reading!!! Lucifer was very angry but fun to write ^_^ Thanks again!!

Ooo, very heart wrenching, Rae. Especially when John noticed Dean in the doorway, the comfort he offered, I got a lump in my throat.
Author's Response: Thank you again so much! I love getting a chance to explore vulnerable John, and then throwing young Dean into the mix.. great fun to write. Thanks!

Absolutely fabulous, Rae! You definitely deserved the win for this, so original and unique and funny. You actually had me feeling sorry for Henrietta!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! Normally when my mind goes off on random ideas, they never work out quite so well so it's such a relief to see how well the response to this has been. It's meant so much to me. Thanks!!

I now see why you won :D this first chapter alone is just so good and imaginative. I laughed loudly. Well deserving winner.
Author's Response: Thanks Em!! So glad you enjoyed it. I'm really proud of how my little spider turned out and the awesome response so far. ^_^

Wow. I can see why you won. I loved the spider's POV and would never in million years have come up with something so original myself. It made me smile and it made me sad at the same time. And I have a soft spot for John so you got me right there with that one too. Congratulations.
Author's Response: Congrats again Jenny! ^_^ Can't wait to get around to reading yours. And thank you so much for reading mine and for the awesome review. Yeah, I really do have to thank Gen for sparking that random idea in my head, it was so much fun to write. ^_^ Me too, major soft spot for John. *hugs him* Thanks again!!!

Another unexpected point of view and so well written. Well done on a beautifully put together collage of points of view of that fateful fire and its consequences.
Author's Response: Thank you ^_^ I am so so glad you enjoyed it. It really means a lot to me.

Congratulations for writing a winner! And what an opening chapter! Poor Henrietta another victim of the Winchester curse.
Author's Response: Thank you so much Midge ^_^ The idea was random but I'm so glad people have enjoyed it!!

Yes, I really do love fire. Yes, and I really do love this piece. Is wow enough? Think it is and I'll leave it at that. Mary xx
Author's Response: ^_^ Thank you soo much! Means a lot that you liked it!!

Hanky! I need a hanky! Damn woman that one got to me especially the end and little Dean -Tiny arms wrapped around John and tiny fingers stroked his arm and it was all John could do to hold himself together. - you and me both John. Awesome! Mary xx
Author's Response: Thank you so much!! I had to throw little Dean in there at the end too after remembering how John said Dean used to comfort him when he got back from a hunt once. Poor Johnny. Thanks again Mary!!

Loved it. This line was so sad, the spider and the man joined in grief. - My home, my life, my love… all gone. Too quick. Too soon. I couldn’t even do anything to stop it. And now my only hope for revenge against whatever had caused it is the man who’s shoulder I currently sit on, his arms wrapped tight around the mini ones that the woman with no fear had given him. Great and unusual POV! Mary x
Author's Response: Thank you so much!! So glad you liked it 'cause it really was so much fun to write :D I can be a bit of an oddball at times so I'm really glad people have taken to my randomness and the spider's POV, hehe.

LOL I LOVE THIS! And to think that me spazzing about a spider that was mocking me by playing "now you see me now you don't" with me! I am proud to have been your muse for this one! Will definitely check out the other 2 parts tomorrow as it's now past 1 AM and I work in a few hours!
Author's Response: *bows down to the mighty muse*Thank you so much for reading and for the awesome review AND for spazzing about that spider. :D Without that conversation, this never would have been born. Thank you!!

Huzzah! Congratulations on winning the challenge. A VERY worthy story. The spider was my favorite- I hope he's able to avenge Henrietta's death. The first Spider hunter, perhaps? The other two aren't so light hearted, of course, and you definitely managed to give me a chill over Lucifer's chapter. The idea that he knew the specifics of the Winchesters and the plan all along is a scary thing. Good job!
Author's Response: Thank you so much!! I'm still in shock, lol, and definitely still on a high. ^_^ It really means a lot the response this has gotten and all the amazing kind words from everybody. I have to admit, of the 3 the spider of my favourite too, hehe. Thank you again so much!!

Very original ending, Rae. And I get shivers thinking that Lucifer knows the Winchesters and their family dynamics that well. Sue
Author's Response: Lucifer intrigues me as a mythical figure and as a character, so I always jump at the chance to write him. I defo can't wait to see hope Kripke and co write him but I know I won't be disappointed ^_^ Thank you so much for reading Sue!
Reviewer: Swellison (Signed) · Date: 20/07/09 09:39 PM · On: John
Oh, this is wrenching, poor John trying to cope, figure out what happened, fight off the guilt. And Dean started being the family glue at a very young age, as your little scene at the end clearly captures. Awesome. Sue
Author's Response: Thank you again so much :D Broken John breaks my heart but it's a nice reminder of why he went spiralling down the path of hunter and so sad at the same time, so I'm glad you liked it ^_^ Thank you!!
Reviewer: Swellison (Signed) · Date: 20/07/09 09:03 PM · On: The Spider
Wow, Rae. What a clever way to start this, with a witty little bitty spider. And a neat encapsulation of John's despair at the end, told from the spider's pov. Sue
Author's Response: Thank you Sue! I definitely loved playing with the spider's POV so I'm people have enjoyed reading it. ^_^

I loved this! Lucifer’s take on the fire...his opening act, the punk ass. And Johnny Boy, so broken and Dean consoling him, so strong even as a child. And the Spider...brilliant! In my happy place I imagine Henrietta’s beloved as the world’s oldest brown recluse, living just long enough to bite Ruby. Congratulation!
Author's Response: Thank you so much ^_^ So glad you enjoyed it! It was so much fun to write and play with, from the spider and Johnny to Lucifer. Lol, and I will join you in your happy place :D 'cause I love the idea of him biting Ruby. Thanks again!!

The great deceiver and manipulator. WOW. Great idea for a POV. And man, is he the Devil or what? The way he speaks about the humans echoes Uriel and truly shows his celestial descent. The bitter remarks about his own father shimmering through in places. Great. And how he elates in the prospect of ruling the earth and retrospect about Dean's and Sam's childhood and present deeds at the same time. How he loves the fire, being unpredictable unless controlled by a demon. Or the way John broke Dean and thus continued the chain of events leading to his own liberation. The master of manipulation. The twists of fate using both sons to get out of his prison. So few words but so many implications. I am wandering off again. Sorry, this is very inspiring stuff here. Very! Rae, you have done a marvelous job with these 3 chapters and you do deserve the win so much. I am lucky to be among those who can congratulate you so soon. This is a very versatile, exciting and touching masterpiece. Worthy of this site. Truly, utterly AWESOME. Thanks, Ilka
Author's Response: Thank you!! I do have a not so mild fascination about Lucifer as a character and I can't wait to see how Kripke and crew play it because there's just so many possibilities to go with. Lol, and I defo think he's just a wee bit pissed at God at the moment, what with being locked up and all that :D Thank you again so much! I am so glad you enjoyed reading and the response so far has just been so amazing and has left my cheeks so red. It really does mean so much to me. Thank you!!

"It was poetic and it was magnificent." Those words express my sentiments about your story precisely! Lucifer's pov sums everything up neatly. Each Winchester had an importatn part to play in his release. You've shown that in a very concise manner. It's made me look at the show differently. Way to go, Rae!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! So glad you enjoyed reading ^_^ It's strange to think how each Winchester had their own little effect on how things played out, so sad and so strange. Thank you again so much!
