You really captured Bobby's pain and love.  As he told Dean, it wasn't easy burying him.  I think it is true that he really got them for good after John died, but he had their hearts before.  It was only after losing Dad that they both needed him even more.  Lovely job!  B.J.

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it!  Thanks for the review!  Bobby is a pretty self-contained and self-sufficient person, which I think makes those moments where he shows how much he cares about the boys all the more telling.

Beautifully poignant!  How awful for poor Bobby!  I hadn't thought of him usffering through Father's Day while Dean was in Hell.

Author's Response:

Thanks for the reivew!  Bobby didn't say a lot about how he dealt with Dean being in hell, or Sam disappearing, but the whiskey bottles everywhere hint at what he went through.  Especially since Bobby isn't the kind of guy to lose control.  So I tried to get in his head a little.

Heart breaking. I always feel for Bobby, poor guy, 'cause he really does love those boys like they're his own flesh and blood. Awesome job!

Author's Response:

Thanks!  I feel for  Bobby too - it must be tough being a parent to the boys.

Oh, wow. Nice take on the challenge! Very creative - woulda never thought of it myself.

Author's Response:

Thank you!  Despite the fact that my muse has stopped speaking to me (and real life has been a bitch), this drabble nearly wrote itself.  I acutally wrote a couple of more, but this is the one I liked best.

Aw, this was so sad. Loved the image of Bobby toasting a dead John. Just heartbreaking.

This was my favorite line: "They’d become his after John Winchester had died, that gift making up for any bad blood that might have remained between him and John." Really nice. I liked this a lot!

Author's Response: Thanks for the feedback!  That was my favorite line too.  :)  Over Season 3 and 4 it's become obvious Bobby has a lot more going on under the surface than he lets on, so I tried to shine a light on that a little.

Very very sad hunny. Bird xx

Author's Response:

Yah.  This is actually out of character for me - I don't usually do pure angst...

This put a lump in my throat, especially Bobby's toast. Very fine drabble.

Author's Response:

Thank you for the review!  I'm glad you liked it.  We know Bobby was drinking a lot while Dean was in hell, which is out of character for Bobby, so I tried to get in his head a little.

Wow. well done with this drabble, i loved this.

Author's Response: Thank you!  I'm not very good at keeping things short, so this drabble was a real challenge.

Wow, powerful emotion, I do like the inclusion of Bobby, just as much a Father figure as John ever was, loved it.

Author's Response:

Thanks!  This was inspired by having watched Lazarus Rising again.  And of course Bobby's line from NRFTW.  :)
